Dual character training...

So, I've been thinking.. With the release of this marvelous feature, I have to ask...

What happens when the subscription runs out on the primary character? Does the secondary plex take over, or does it act like 2 separate accounts, but wrapped into one? If its 2 accounts crammed into one, are we going to be able to access the secondary character, or what?

I tried looking for more information, and didn't really find a whole lot. I'm just trying to figure out ways to improve my proficiency in EVE, i.e. staggering plex to make the cash flow more fluid, instead of +/- every week in EVE...

I read that the 2nd training account is just put on hold until the regular account is active again. So if you have 15 days left of training time and two months later you get the account back online, you still get the 15 days on the 2nd account.

I would assume that since both characters are on one account, both are put in hold until the account is current again.

Well that is quite ********. The character should continue training until the queue is empty or the plex runs out. It seems like a nice feature, but the upkeep is more of a downfall than what you get.

I think more people would rather have the training stop while the account is inactive than have it continue for 30 days, regardless of what's in the queue.

As with most things, if you don't think you'll use it, you're free to not use it.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The reason it stops is because you can't log in the account if it's inactive, thus to make any skill changes. Any to of course promote getting back in line.

That is quite true, but if CCP adds in EVE Gate skill changing, then what I said would be, in theory, a lot better. It would go hand in hand.

Just seems a bit unfair, lol.

If by unfair, you mean CCP not bending over and taking it up the ass by every entitled little crybaby that feels in the least bit inconvenienced by the current rules, then I agree.

Too bad the search feature for the forums is horrible, and literally gives you every result you typed a word for. I checked all the latest forums, and nothing seemed relevant at all.

Should have looked at the Dev Blog rather than the forums.

Is Dual Character Training Time the same as my account main game time?

No, and this is a crucial detail to keep in mind. Buying 30 days of Dual Character Training will not extend your account expiration date at all – it will just enable this extra functionality during the specified period. If your account main game time expires while this new feature is running, Dual Character Training remaining time will be paused, so nothing will be lost until your account is re-activated again.

You forget, "I tried looking for more information" means "I'm allergic to Dev Blogs and feel entitled to having the information fed to be by forumpeople."

How would you go about logging in to EVE Gate to do this when your account is inactive?
