Stop the insanity.... I didn't read all three pages of posts, but let me clarify... You did not lose any training time while the server was down unless you did not have anything in your queue. I checked all my characters, confirmed with friends, asked my killer, asked my bait, and lastly asked my targets if they missed any SP over the last two days due to the server being down. The answer is check skill history tab, see when the last skill completed if you have less than the expected SP since the skill completed and YOU DID HAVE SOMETHING IN THE QUEUE, petition, otherwise grow a pair and realize you failed to plan. Failure on your behalf should come at no cost to anyone other then thyself. Repeat the mantra, "It is my fault, it is no one elses, I shall regret my mistakes and work to not make them again." REPEAT...

And BTW, PRO TIP everybody from a noob, make sure you put a LONG skill in your queu when the patch hit so we can avoid any form of bitching about potential SP lost if it takes more than than planned to apply everything.

Contrary to popular belief......... your name is NOT Mr Epeen.

And it is not all about you.

Personally i hope CCP gives us nothing, just so i can harvest more of your delicious tears.

You are nothing more than a whiny little ****wit and people like you need a good slap to the head. Next thing you know we'll read about you whining how hail damaged your car, therefore the government of the country you live in (according to your logic) is legally bound to give you a new car.

You strike me as the kinda guy that will make mistakes due to your own incompetence but look for any possible way to blame somebody else.

Trust me this would hurt you and everyone else here more then it would hurt me.
EVE is not my life no video game is. I know this isn't the case for most people.
That is why there is always so much rage and hate towards anyone who puts down CCP or EVE.
This is fanboiism at it's very core. Said something bad about CCP everyone flocks like a bunch of mad dogs to defend CCP's honor? at any rate I've been playing EVE for 6 years on my main. My other alt is 5 years old and this new one I have had for about a 2 months. And yup my command and indictor books are all injected.

If you are offended because I stated the fact that CCP ****** up then oh well get over it THEY ****** UP.
And how can we even be so sure that our info is 100% safe?
This could be something they said just to keep everyone calm for all you know all of our info has been compromised and CCP is covering it up. Again just taking CCP's word for it and not using rational thinking or logic at all.

If in fact our info was stolen what is more cost effective ? Tell us about it or lie?
This again proves fanboiism instead of taking caution and asking questions you blindly follow and believe that CCP has you me or anyone else but them self in their best interest.
They care about money nothing else. Not your loyality. Not the fact that you and others like you will take to the forums and defend CCP to the death. They care about that monthly payment.

It is amazing that people forget Greed is good so quickly.

All the crying and uproar and everyone saying they will quit. And yet the AUR store still sits and brings in money.
Everyone wanted it gone but guess what? It makes money for little effort there for it stays.
If you are not the epitome of a fanboy then I am the Queen of England.

The funny thing is never in a million years would your squirrelly ass ever raise a hand to anyone.
That's why people like you play EVE.
EVE is your way to get that head slap in that you so wish you could do to someone in real life, but are to much of a chicken **** to ever act on anything.
That is one of the biggest problems with EVE if people like you. Ones who do not have the balls to stand up for your self in a real life confrontation, so you take to EVE and let out all that rage.
Most of you would probably be serial killers if you had any balls.

I take this from a reply about the DDOS attack. By KhanneaSuntzu.
Hit the nail right on the head with this statement too.

"Eve Online is an amazingly well balanced and well designed game. Sadly it also brings out the lowest of the lowest in humans and human psychology. The game is inundated with people who swelter in psychopathic and anti-social behavior.

This will increasingly cause "blowback" - people completely taken apart inside the game will seek recourse to attacking the venue from the outside."

This is complete BS. This is a new character I purchased I would have made the training within 10 hours of down time but now I am a almost 2 days without a que.

I think we should be comped for this 100,000 sp at least. Also I was going to spend the weekend earning the isk to plex my 3 accounts now one of them I will have to let expire until I make the ISK to pay for it again so that is at least an other day of missed training.
So on top of the SP I think everyone should get two days added to there sub times.

You shouldn't have left it so late.

Great CSM work here bud. Why don't you get off CCP's jock strap and do your ******* job.
Petition has been sent before the post was even in. TO those saying it is not CCPs fault they admitted the attack was due to a vulnerability on their end.

You had a year.

So yeah I guess this is totally my fault or something.

Didn't even need a year. The new character I started in February finished BC 5 last month. And Destroyer 5. And all the Cruiser skills to 4.

I've been reading this thread in amazement, partially because of the rather... hyped tone the OP is using but also because of the ignorance and lack of reading that is going on.

New characters, bought characters or any others who had to decide a short while ago to try and get the required skills for the changes can (not necessarily) be caught out by the game being offline for 1-2 days. That's quite a logical thing to happen, in this case and probably in others as well it has happened. It's not the player's fault and anyone going "you had a year" obviously didn't read the OP or thought about the situation, or is just trolling of course.

Should there be compensation because the server was offline for a day or two? Normally I'd say no but in this specific case with the whole skill changes it would be logical for CCP to do so. It's now ofcourse too late to implement it but, without raging like the OP, I would have expected CCP to understand this specific issue and act on it.

See the funny thing is, you keep saying "NO I DIDNT HAVE A YEAR TO TRAIN CAUSE I JUST BOUGHT"

But then you also say "I BOUGHT IT ONLY SO I COULD TRAIN THOSE SKILLS"

Why the **** would you buy a character where you can only barrely make it to train some skills before a crucial patch and it all depends on nothing going wrong? What if you would have had a blackout? You cant ******* be serious that you cant accept that all software EVER has flaws and can/will be exploited sometime by some idiot. ****, would you have bitchwhined to your electrician if you had been without power going "BUT ME EVE SKILLZ!!11" ?

I didnt think so!

So shut up, plan ahead, you bought a character that was only just able to train skills before the patch if nothing went wrong, something went wrong and now Im laughing at you. Carebear cakes have never been this dry and ugly before.

I'm certainly very glad I trained these skills up on all the chars that I care about training them up on way, way in advance of this expansion (I think I did it 18 months or so ago, when the change was announced).

is anyone else glad about this, just like I am?

I know I'm certainly glad about it.

I'm also strangely horny, but I still think that's the OP's OP.

PRO TIP: the clock was stopped.

Skills that's been queued for days lost hours of skill time. Might want to check your training times against the new skill finished times, instead of trolling.

It affected everyone.
