Dual Training seems like a cool idea, but I see nothing about it supporting dual boxing? My question is, why not!? A Plex is worth 1 month of account time, both the SP you earn in that month and being able to play the game for a month. Using a Plex for dual-training only gives you the skill points, you have no additional ability to play the game beyond what you already had.

I know the simple answer people will give is "money." But, lets look at that...

The standard price for a Plex is $19.99. Yes, they go on sale sometimes, but even when you buy them in bulk and on sale, it is rare for the Plex price to ever go below $14.99.

The price to pay for one month on an account is $14.99. If you want it cheaper than that you can buy more than a month at a time, 12 months is $10.98 a month.

Using a Plex to pay for dual training then either costs MORE compared to a cash funded 2nd account or is the same when compared to a Plex funded 2nd account.

Why would I ever want to put a PLEX towards dual-training when I could apply that same plex to another account and get more capabilities?? I do not understand this at all.

In a nutshell, as long as dual training is running on an account, then you should be able to be logged in as both characters at the same time. It seems only fair.

Making this change means that CCP might actually make MORE money. Let's say your corp has a critical CTA, people with utility alts may be willing to Plex their alt accounts just to be able to dual box.

I do realize that there are a number of people who buy Plex with ISK, which is fine. I don't feel like that changes anything at all. Where you got your Plex doesn't matter. It is a Plex

Who is the feature for then? I guess it would be useful for a manufacturing alt, only Plex them when you need new skills. It just seems like that would be a small subset.

That's what I'll be using it for. I would think there's quite a lot of demand for that.

OP, Please use the search function. This topic has been discussed to death. Why created another thread? Is it because you can not do a search?

I can see you spent all of 3 minutes thinking this whole thing through.

I can bet thousands of pilots will be using this feature. I know I will on more than one account. This account has 3 toons on them one with 10mil sp, this one with 30ish and another with 40ish mil.. I for one think this is a great idea. If you not using all your alts on one account... then you not doing it right.
Imagine having one account that lives in a wh, another in null and then just for fun a FW alt. This is what makes eve different and fun.
And no I don't think I have wasted sp on alts.. my wallet tells me its not so

You understand one possible use for it but since that isn't something you're interested in you don't see it being useful.....


Heres a question, WHY DO YOU CARE WHO ITS FOR? Its there, it'll be used by people who want it, and not by people who don't. I don't get why the fact that you're personally clueless was thread worthy.

Your guess is right . Those that need more than one account just get another account. The dual training isn't even for training a new alt really, just adding skill to one alt without stopping training on another. I don't think it will be used a lot.

Only by people who think/play like you. For the rest of us, I know of plenty of peeps who will use it at least once.

Be a good way for people to make a cheap pvp alt to throw in RvB or FW. You can make a decent enough frigate pilot in 30 days to easily have some fun and learn pvp skills while not having to worry about your main characters killboard.
