Suddenly everyone is a soloer when it comes time to criticise new ships.

I find it funny how so many people are agonising over the balancing of new ships on a one to one basis when there really aren't that many people out there who ever actually fly solo Lol

Maybe you people should try considering realistic gang composition when talking about balance, or perhaps put your money where your mouth is and actually try playing the game solo. Better yet. Leave ship balance discussions to people that know what they are talking about from an experienced background.

I personally plan on shooting at the new spaceships with my current spaceships before I make any kind of judgement about how mad imba they are.

Thanks it took me a long time to come up with it. My previous policy was to assume every new thing is bad and to whine endlessly about things that dont even exist yet, but it had the problem of it was completely stupid and made my look like an idiot when talking to my internet spaceship peers.

I think most people enjoy solo, or at least, would LIKE to enjoy it.

The problem is it doesnt really exist anymore. You can fly your ship around alone but chances are you'll only find shuttles or 50 man fleets

Terminal, solo certainly does exist; it just isn't as easy as flying in a fleet. It obviously somewhat limits your options but it's not THAT bad. Clearly though, there are far less people flying around solo in game than their are talking about game balance of ships from a 1vs1 perspective which is in no way realistic to the majority of actual use in game.

I think most players are comparing the ships (e.g talos compared to the oracle) because they could fly either (or all) of them. Rather than say Talos vs Oracle: who wins?

I find it funny that the average "soloer" in EVE goes out with a scout and ECM alt.

This is something that sets apart the PvP community in general imo. Alot of people express their opinion of a ship / shipclass from a 0,0 fleet / large gang perspective while other talk about their experience how they work in very small or solo engagements.
Imo, the larger the fleets the ships are used in, the worse off the pilot is from gaining meaningful experience with the ship since the importance of individual perks and characteristics of that hull to the outcome of the battle becomes negligible.

I think the overwhelming support for buffing AFs is a symptom of some people not seeing them being used in PvP while in other areas they thrive.

John will see something he like. He will remain silent.
Joe will see something he does not like. He will complain about it.

People love to complain, but nobody likes to give credit. So you always have the impression that nothing ever pleases the "playerbase".

Outside of frigate duals, solo pvp died out years ago.
