Lets all be honest with ourselves here. CCP deals with probably the most cantankerous, grumpy, outspoken, dedicated, rabid fans any game company has ever had to deal with. For many of us, EVE is less a game, and more a hobby. However, in light of recent events, especially the excellent way they handled the attack on their infrastructure, I think it is appropriate to all say something they need to hear.

Seriously though, thank you for making such an awesome game, putting up with all of our crap, and listening to us, even when we sound and act like whining, screaming children (well, some of us anyway) on these forums. You don't have to inform us of things, and go the extra mile to try to make us happy when things not of your control affects the game, but you do, and did. So thank you, and know that the community by and large feels the same way, though most of us don't really say it.

I find this sentiment to be most proper, and applaud it.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I dont want to be the party pooper, but isnt it our right to protest when our end of the bargain is not being delivered?

If i have a service and for some reason it becomes unavailable to my clients it is my responsibility to ensure they get what they payed for.
Passive personalities say thank you to everything, then they get "raped" taken advantage off.
Be active, protest what is rightfully yours, after all, i, you work so they can get their part, its their work to provide us with this service. If it werent for us clients, there wouldnt be any CCP.
If i dont go to work my boss will be pissed, he wont say Thank you!!!
I know its not their fault but it is their responsibility.

CCP is like a wild animal.

As soon as you start to show kindness, and seem weak, it will turn on you in an instant.

CCP absolutely upheld their end of the bargain. They busted their backsides protecting our accounts, our personal data, our financial information. Or are you suggesting that CCP launched the DCA against themselves..?! If that's NOT your assertion, I want you to explain how they are responsible for the actions of an outside third party.

I dunno. Squenix had a chance to have fans with more of the things the OP mentioned, but they kind of blew it. And I'd hate to be the one who has to keep star wars fans happy with a game that's not KOTOR3. MOBA devs probably have to put up with a lot worse.

So thanks I guess, but it could be worse.

I wouldn't call people like this cantankerous or grumpy. Just woefully ignorant to how these sort of things work and the troubles inherent to them. They can't help that, it's their nature.

Also despite what they say, nothing will ever be as bad as the Planetside 2 forums. That place is just distilled hatred.

I was around when Sony totally dropped the ball on the psn hack and let millions of customer's data get stolen. I'm thankful to ccp they acted fast in protecting our data. With that said I wouldnt say no to 50k sp a quafe catalyst and a plex for the downtime Blink

Hahaha i work in an area where the piece i get to handle has been throught 10+ hands, if i mess up the work of everyone before me goes in vain.

Tell me how do these sort of troubles are handled?
O wait you referring to the issue if CCP compensates us more problems will arise?
I guess thats a problem CCP has to handle, i have alot of problems i need to handle on daily basis. If i fail i make sure to compensate for what i did wrong, it wouldnt feel right the otherway around.
