Why don't we have an option to change ship colors?

Even if they just introduced one or two different options to make a ship look a little different from another. I personally would love to rock an odd colored ship instead of seeing everyone in the same boring colors. Even navy versions with w different camo tone would be nice.

Everytime you read this you are required to send 100 million isk directly to me.

try a 400 man sov battle with eve trying to render all those individual paint jobs. No thanks. End up getting TIDI at like 5%.

You can make your ship any color you like.

True. It would still be nice to see some crazy custom paint jobs. Imagine a having an all white freighter and being able to draw a crappy rifter outline in black (think ms paint). I would die. But o guess it would probably giant flying man junk instead. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind some tidi to see those ships blow up.

yea that would be great, thought about it as well when i saw the InterBus Catalyst, they could do it like in planetside, there you can put a camo or color on all your stuff

Switch from your lame T1 hull to a navy/pirate/T2 version. Brand new color. Problem solved.

As long as it's not a service where the currency would be PLEX or Aurum I'd be all for it. But as someone mentioned above, it might make the fleet battles even slower. Plus, I'd hate to see ships in pink or other extremely bright colors.

Maybe if they had pre-determined colors/camo/designs to choose from, so it doesn't contribute to metagaming.

And lag shouldn't be an issue with that.


But it would make for a great ISK sink.

any lag and rendering issues aside.

A simple color picker for a few different spots like in the homeworld game would solve many of the bright color issues and such.

Because
* It introduced lag in beta.
* Most people don't zoom in so they can't see your ship colour.

Also, you know most people would paint their ships in obscene colours.

SW:ToR just recently added dyes and they have been a big hit.

Now with 100% less Troll.

Give me the option to turn it off and i'll agree with you.

Or just make it a client side render so no one else has to see the colours.
