Being a declared a spy in FW

I was recently booted from GHIOT and branded a spy by the Caldari militia. Understandably, this is EVE and anything can happen, but I'd like to believe that calmil should base their decisions on concrete evidence and logical reasoning. For this, I demand a proper trial before being branded a spy!

What are the accusations on which this decision was made?

I invite you to examine my kill mails:
http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=1165565

Awoxer? I haven't killed a single calmil. Informant for qcats? Unlikely, unless chatgris likes giving away solo kills.

I'm a casual player with low sp, but I've flown with killer, mayhem, khan and others who were FC. Chime up if you've seen evidence of my espionage.

Please, renew my faith in the calmil! After all, if we can't even differentiate the honorable from the spies, what kind of leadership do we have?

In Calmil everyone else is a spy, including yourself.

I like to joke about it and call everyone a spy. People seem to believe it.

When you have an old character that tends to stay with corps longer than 6 months and does not get donations from a main. Then you have a higher probability not being called a spy.

In Eve, the word spy does not mean the same as outside of Eve.

Expand it to all of FW as the same is true in the other three militias, everyone is a spy until he/she/it can prove otherwise. This isn't some pansy-ass judicial system based on convoluted moral exercises like "reasonable cause" and "benefit of doubt" but the law of the wild/jungle .. if you can't prove your worth to the collective through your actions then you are assumed to be acting against the well being of the whole.

Suppose there could be introduced a whole range of accusations such as "waste of biomatter", "learning retention of a Dodo" or "as reliable as a granite stone used as a floatation device", but why bother when it all comes down to you not being wanted .. you got the generic sticker of "SPY!" and was kicked, be thankful that it wasn't expanded upon Big smile

It is quite funny really, especially given how easy it was to get spy alts in basically every major corp in the enemy militia (and a few allied ones to boot *cough*).

For all the daft paranoia surrounding general militia scrubs both in fleet and in recruitment you'd be surprised how easy it is to weazl your way into positions of influence with the enemy :)

*shrugs*

Not relevant to us at all, we left FW months ago.

Getting back to the point of the thread though, there are plenty of ways to sneak into FW corps while they have their attention focused on nonexistent security threats elsewhere. Using your current name is probably a bad idea, rolling a new character and getting creative with the API would serve you much better

Don't get me wrong, I love the drama of being declared a spy and would be happy to fulfill the role. My point is I'm surprised that calmil leadership can make such twitch decisions without real evidence. It doesn't build confidence in the militia as a whole. Am I a witch? That guy said I was, so now I am.

Woe to the player who invests real time and money to calmil! One day leadership may just declare you a spy and your "friendships" were as meaningless as last night's one night stand.

I've said my say. I await actual evidence. Either way, I'll play Eve the way I want, even with the curve balls.

To be honest everyone gets called a spy. I can't even log onto QCATS comms without being called a spy.

There was a stint about killer being a spy a few months back, but anyone with some reasoning to them demanded to see the evidence that the accusers claimed they had against killer, but they refused to reveal their sources, so that did not get much momentum and people continued to fly with killer (on the condition that maybe he should welp fleets just a little bit less Big smile).

If you are not a spy and your corp kicked you, forget them and fly with another cal mil corp that doesn't wear as many tinfoil hats. If you are a spy and your corp kicked you, forget them since the jigg is up and spy on another cal mil corp. Big smile

I'm sure they would call me a spy if I were to ever join Caldari Militia seeings how I've been Gallente Militia my entire career (not counting QCats time representing Minmatar, of course) and have made known my intention to stay Gallente for my entire career. :)

It does seem rather silly. If I had to guess, they probably disagreed with you for one reason or another and were looking for an excuse. Could always join Amarr if you still like fighting us. They seem like pretty good chaps.

The whole FW spy is over rated.

I had a squid toon in cal mil intel channels for close to a year and ended up pulling that toon out of cal mil (and using it for something useful) just due to the fact that squid intel sucked. Lol

Though, seeing your enemy talk about you can be amusing at times Lol

Edit - The only spying that is worth a damn in FW is for cap usage (which is relatively rare - though not uncommon)....and even then, the smart corps using them will keep it secret from even those within corp/militia until drop time... Most everything else can be gained from just half-way decent inter-corp communication within militia.

You should clarify.

One toon with Killer in the name wasn't a spy.
Another one was.

Who cares what you really are, but thank you for all of use letting know that you are spy, when you got booted from corp only some of the militia knew that, now whole EVE can see it.

Most of militia people are so useless that every reason is to valid to kick them.

Make yourself worth to have in some corp, before that you are just one of the spies.
