Whether or not there is anyone interested in the Black Monolith here, flying in New Eden or there, plotting in Grandagarður, i dare to hope for something new on this auspicious occasion that is going to be the 4th of June.

last week I've resubbed just to see if this new expansion will bring something new to exploration.
I still remember thrills when I went to pilgrimage into New Eden and when I saw all those endless anchored message cans,
all lined up towards blue light. I left 2 by myself as well.

But after they introduced can timers (good decision btw.)
all these messages of hope and despair was lost in time, like tears in the rain...

IMHO they should except New Eden from can decaying, or at least to convert em into player created EVE monument(s).

After that EvE lost almost all its mystery to me, because I realized that everything could and will be sacrificed for saving resources at to allow more players in.

A long time ago, someone posted questionnaire which could tell you what type of EvE player you are.
I don't have that link any more, but this one revealed same result: I'm explorer.

So, like Annette, I do hope that Odyssey will bring some of EvE former mystery back to us.

The Black Monolith can be found by doing a L4 mining mission called Ice Installation. Warp To Location, then about 150km away it will be floating in space. Don't know if it happens with every L4 mining agent, but with Folvik Renn in Metropolis-Reset V Moon 22 Minmatar Mining Corp you get the Black Monolith 100% of the time on the Ice Installation mission.

Yeah there's a few scattered around some Amarr security missions vs Blood Raiders too, I forget the level, either 2 or 3 or both.

What a bunch of trash this expansion is going to be. DOUBLE APPLAUD to CCP for constantly nerfing everything and making your long standing player base pissed as fukk that now noobs who are less than 6 months old can fly ships that took us years to get into. Extremely loving the fact that battleships are the most obsolete ship in the game now. Catering to the noobs is not going to go well for you guys this game actually used to be separated from other mmorpg's that hand you your lvl's willy nilly but now your in the same class as WoW. Instead of nerfing stuff constantly maybe you should have some imagination and add new stuff. Stop fukking with our already there skills and add some new ones if you want to change things up. No respect at all for Odyssey
