I can find a thread about this anywhere. Even doing eve-search got me no real answer, so making a new thread.

I can normally run 3-4 clients on TQ atm with no problems, but when I log on sisi my GPU goes into overdrive.

Yes I have set the setting down, and it does not help.

If I leave it running it eventually kills the GPU and I have to hard reboot.

I am running on a Radeon 6700 series.

So my question is am I the only one having issues like this, and is this some SiSi only based problem?

Just to be sure: Could you check your settings for the Present Interval in Display & Graphics settings? Please set it to Interval one, if it is not already. With interval immediate (=vsync off) you are stressing your GPU much more than necessary.

I didn't notice any performance degradation in general, but, boy, oh boy, those particle clouds in the new relic sites.

If they'd ever unstack those scatter containers so we didn't have five or seven derelict ship models right on top of each other, those particle clouds wouldn't be nearly as stressful as they are.

Thanks.. that actually seemed to be the problem..

Would make sense to have that as a part of the automated settings, when setting for performance?

Exactly, the only thing where I had problems with performance are those particle and fog effects.. allways, never had problems with anything else than this, I think they might need to be redone completely.. wont be easy I know.. ME 2 has the best fog and cloud effects I ve ever seen so far, they add so much athmosphere and they have same performance as a textures have.

On a related note, should the "interval x" settings be changed to "vsync off" "vsync on" etc to make it more obvious what the setting does by using the standard name for it?
