I'm going to laugh if the downtime is because of routing issues in a few routers that caught fire in the datacenter.

I think this is something we are starting to get used to.

Unfortunatley, In australia, DT hits us at 9pm, so we get 3 hours after work, and then hope to christ CCP have their arses in gear for the DT ..... I would say, out of the last 20 DT's, atleast 50% have had to be extended for some reason or another, and yet, I have all the patience in the world for CCP, the work they are doing and the efforts they put into trying to get something that is broke, un-broke ...

if I can wait, im sure the rest of you can to...

keep up the good work CCP

another Aussie here hoping fore some idea of seriousness so i can decide if I'm better of going to bed or waiting a little while longer.

do we know exactly what "issue" prompted this downtime is it game based or server load or network or or or or or.......

just interested in what broke it.

I think a lot of people have been getting the "Socket Error" and disconnecting. AFAIK its to do with packet loss. I had the problem earlier myself.

Just goes to show how good quality this scrum model is producing, things starting to fall a part. Or Maybe its your CQ department. Do they even do any decent random testing to see if it brakes?

Anyways, i can always use some more free skill-points. But if problems keep persisting, i think you fellows should start raising the compensation.

At some moment the webservers weren't reachable as well...

Might have something to do with it.

Why did u bring TQ up 15 minutes early when this problem has existed for at least 2 hours? This should have been looked at during the scheduled DT.

Derp - the problem probably didn't exist until they brought the servers up after downtime.

You sure about that?

Any more sage advice for people that already know how to do their jobs better than you?

People disconnected before DT as well, Major lag/disconnect issues happend atleast 50 minutes before DT.
Also you might consider reading what other people wrote before posting something in that "tone"

i wonder if someone turned off the spanning tree on a lopped Cisco network or pluged a non "smart" hub in with a loop lol.

that would cause socket errors
