Is anyone else missing some UI sounds?

Before we begin: Yes! EVE has sound! Usually.

Since the last time they took Singularity down, I've been having some troubles with the sound engine. Most notably, several UI sounds are missing and the Stargate / Acceleration Gate / Warp / Engine / Station sounds are constantly getting stuck in the "on" position. I'm currently listening to station chatter and stargate chatter at the same time, both of which are from my origin system 5 jumps away. Turning off the sound engine and then turning it back on tends to correct the stuck sounds, unless of course the engine simply doesn't turn back on when you tell it to.

The missing sounds so far seem to be:

  • That weird noise when you drag items around in your inventory
  • The noise when you drop items, both the one for dropping them where they were and for dropping them somewhere else
  • All sounds in the fitting window
  • Sounds when dragging modules in the HUD
  • Sounds when dropping modules in the HUD
  • All Radial Menu sounds
  • The sound when targeting an object
  • The sound when the Discovery Scanner runs
  • The sound when the Discovery Scanner finds an object
  • The triple-beep when the Discovery Scanner finishes a sweep that has found things
  • The static when a sweep finds nothing
  • All of the myriad noises and sounds that play when you hover over sites in space
  • The sound that plays when scan probes are warping to their destination
  • The sound when scan probes are actually scanning
  • The noise that plays when a signature is found by scanning, as well as the one when nothing is found
  • All Shield/Armor/Hull warning sounds of any kind
  • The noise when your ship disappears into a star gate, before the noise of the star gate happens
  • The sound that plays while the star map is open

That's all of them I can think of ways to test for, so there might be more. The cache has been cleared and I even tried repairing the client and rebooting the computer.

Is anyone else missing these sounds? I'd rather not submit a bug report if it's not actually a bug. It's probably worth mentioning that everything works fine on TQ and this is only happening on SiSi.

I ve posted a thread about the same thing, called missing UI sounds. And yep I ve found that most if not all of the UI sounds are missing, including the completely new ones that came with radial menu and scanning changes even when I got my UI sounds turned to full.

Edit: I ve recently found out there are major bugs with the sound system overall aswell.

So when you are at the gate for example where you hear the sounds of the police and stuff, it carries on even when you leave the area then when you warp to a station lets say you hear the station sounds with all the other sounds including the preserving gate sounds..
after you dock every of these sounds carries on there.. So I got huge noise of different sounds together.. Something weird happened with the sound system.. almost like really old build where the sounds were still bugged.

The UI sounds should be back after the update of Singularity, which is currently in progress (server should be available within 10-20 minutes).

Droidyk: We know about a problem with warp-sounds continuing after warp, which seems to be related to the solar-system map. Please send bug reports about other problems, if they persist after the patch of Sisi.

Oh, and btw:

If something looks like a bug and sounds like a bug it is probably a bug - please send bugreports in these cases. ;)

There's a thread for activation requests and this is not it. The thread you want is even a sticky. How did you manage to set up Singularity in the first place when you so obviously cannot read?

The bug with the continuing sounds seems to be back to normal. It really isn't that bad as it was before the fix so its all good. I ll be searching if it persist somewhere, but so far so good. Thx
