they do not despawn, simply move.

and if you think belts, gates, hidden sites are the only places in a system, you've never bookmarked while in warp.

normal rats will warp off if you kill dad first, dad being big cross. That is normal game play for years.

Rats will jump to another belt, usually there is one unoccupied belt in system, if not more. Also use the camera and you should be able to see where they are aligning to. Should narrow down the search.

what to do?

kill officer first.

Haulers will also warp off if you kill escorts first.

Old nullsec npc AI moving to higher security systems is all.

It's random.. and some of it is WTF.

Now go chase down that npc group 200km off the belt moving 1200m/s.

your wrong becasuse if the officer warped to a hidden belt it would have eventualy moved back to the normal belts and it didn't I also flew an interceptor out till way off grid in the direction she warped to find her and she wasn't there nor was a hidden belt if they fly off into empty space they despawn . Twisted

well it dosent matter ive got her twice since that spawn but once they warp off good luck finding them again you have likely no chance...

discuss whatever u want..but thats not a bug - its meant to be like this
till i play eve, first rule in belts: first shoot the factions, than the rest - no dif if its a officer, or a casual faction spawn
