are they going to refund my BS 5 and 4 and give me the skill points back????

Am I the only one wondering what they're doing in a Nyx if they haven't even trained basic jump skills?

No, you're not. Someone id his super pilot alt for us. I'm sure we can come together as a community and help to remove the source of the OP's consternation in true Eve fashion.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Wow, are you serious OP? This is just further proof there are too many Supers in the game when people like this are allowed to fly them. Please SD the ship so we have one less in the game.

To be fair I have them on one character, but my other two capital characters have JDC V and JFC 4 so it's alright

I'm not even going to sit in my carrier until I have JDC V and JFC IV.
JDC V is an alliance requirement for capital ops anyway.

Read CCP Fozzie's post. It specifically addresses sitters:

CCP Fozzie wrote:
As mentioned above, no skills will be given in these cases, you simply will be able to use the ship as you could before. You'll notice that each skill category (primary, secondary, so on) has a skill at the top, and then requirements to train that skill below it. The only skills the ship cares about are the ones at the top of each category, it completely ignores everything else.

To pilot a Nyx now you need:
* Primary Skill: Capital Ships 1
* Secondary Skill: Gallente Carrier 3
* Tertiary Skill: Jump Drive Operation 1

To pilot a Nyx after Odyssey you need:
* Primary Skill: Capital Ships 1
* Secondary Skill: Gallente Carrier 1

Carriers and Supercarriers:

  • Racial Carrier requirements on the Aeon, Wyvern, Nyx and Hel have been reduced from 3 to 1 [ship prerequisite]
  • Capital Ships requirement on all Carriers and Supercarriers increased from 3 to 4 [carrier skill injection prerequisite]
  • All racial Battleship requirements on Carriers and Supercarriers reduced from 5 to 3 [carrier skill injection prerequisite]
  • Adding the Jump Fuel Conservation skill at 4 as prerequisite [carrier skill injection prerequisite]
  • Adding the Jump Drive Calibration skill at 3 as prerequisite (which itself requires the Jump Drive Operation skill trained at 5) [carrier skill injection prerequisite]

Lastly, if you have a skill injected, you will always be able to train it after Odyssey:

CCP Ytterbium wrote:
We'll change the way training works so that you can still train the skills you have after change, even if you don't meet the prerequisite anymore.

Ex:

You have Amarr Freighter 1 after the change but not Advanced Spaceship Command 5. You can still fly the Providence and you will now still be able to train Amarr Freighter past 1 as long as you have the skill injected.

i understand if there was a new prerequisite skill that this wouldn't be required as you have the skill above it in the chain....with supers this doesn't work as the fuel conservation skill was never previously a requirement...and it is not a prerequisite

and to the idiots who are saying 'Train the skill' i already am as unlike you i am not completely ********....BUT this doesnt change the question which is how???

The only true requirement for flying a ship normally is the actual ship skill. What is changing are the skills needed to train that skill.

At least that's how I understand it. I could always be wrong, I never paid that much attention.

Either

a) learn how the game and changes will work (ie no changes to you)
b) buy a less a less rubbish holding alt
c) sell your super and leave the game as some as dumb as you shouldn't be playing eve

As they have mentioned many times before... If you can fly it now you can fly it after.

Right now I am giving CCP benefit of the doubt & assuming if I can fly it now I will be able to fly it later.
Come the 4th & I am able to fly all my ships OK I'm be first to say GJ CCP Big smile if , say can't fly say my command ships due to not trainning all warefare's to V I'll be angry until theres a fix that doesn't require 30 days of training
