I wasn't sure where else to post this, this seemed the most appropriate place.

I'm looking for any information on the Forsaken Hub nerf coming in Odyssey. I can't find any official information on it, and all I can find is snippets of a couple of players talking about the "forsaken hub nerf" coming in Odyssey.

Is this a rumor, or is it real, and if it's real, how bad is the nerf? Can I get any info on this please? Thank you in advance.

By their fruit you will recognize them.

You haven't been looking very hard, do you?

We are also making some small tweaks to the NPC composition of Hubs and Sanctums. Switching a few of the NPCs in Hubs to the tougher Elite Frigates and Cruisers, and switching a few of the Elites in Sanctums out for battlecruisers. The changes are still being tweaked and tuned, but the intended result is a better balance between the different anomalies, giving Sanctums the advantage in isk per hour over the easier to find Hubs.

You could also just get on SiSi and try the changes for yourself.

Essentially, they are buffing the rats in the high-end anoms. Will probably lower the isk rate for solo/dual boxed carrier setups since Forsaken Hubs currently don't contain frigates.
That said, dual boxed Domis will be fotm for anom-running I suspect.

Just a pity the sov and iHub status's aren't maintained on the test server.. Need to go scan for them to find one to test in What?

The new hub changes are hilariously short sighted. They 'increased risk' by adding frigates, ships that are too small to be hit by large guns. So now players are forced to use ships that can quickly dispose of frigates, which means the main form of solo killing ratters is gone now (good luck killing someone in a bomber when they're armed specifically to pop frigates ASAP). It does absolutely nothing to combat people that afk rat in things like ishtars, while effectively removing low SP ratting options from null sec.

Or, you know, they could have actually increased risk by adding battleships that web/scram. Players who wanted to still use battleship size weapons exclusively could continue to their hearts content, but due to the slow rate at which battleships die, they would be scrammed much longer, making them an easier target for gankers. It's win-win.

Couldn't they just give certain waves of bs/cruisers the ability to web/scram/disrupt on their own?

I always thought that you used drones to kill the frigs. You don't need a special ship just to kill the small stuff, just put some drones in your BS drone bay and you are golden.

I was pretty sure they specifically chose frigs because large ships are always used to run those anoms, making the anom more dangerous as those little frigs take longer to kill if you aren't fitted to deal with them (and sometimes even if you are).

You wanna kill the drones asap cuz bad guys might be lurking in system nearby. So setting drones one em can do the trick, but if ur scramed, u'll wanna melt em first and fast! So i general double web and alpha strike the critter Twisted then focus on the rest. This is so u can warp off if a hostile jumps into system.
