Armor Thermic Hardener II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Ballistic Control System II

If you are ballsy you can switch a hardener to a BCU.

There will be also shield fits.

Why do you need 4 resists? Just use 2 and you can then add a further 2 BCUs.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

388 defense versus Guristas.
Rigor/Flare rigs and TPs so you can actually apply Fury missile damage.
You can field 5 sentry drones hence the omnis. Gardes or Wardens.
ACs because artillery wouldn't fit.
CPU is tight, you'll need to downgrade a low to a faction/meta if you don't have Launcher Rigging V.

in a mission environment, the third and even fourth damage module is more useful than a tank module that gives you more tank than you need.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Especially because if you're a Pro Care Bear you'll run a Vulture on an alt account with 7 active warfare links, including armour resists. Mine give me 39% IIRC.

Do you think it will be better than the Navy Raven? The volley damage alone looks amazing...

For missions? Maybe, 37.5% more missile damage is nice, you can fix the damage application issues with rigs & target painters.

About the same in terms of missiles. CNR => 8 launchers. Fleet Typhoon = 6 * 1.375 = 8.25 launchers. The CNR gets a free rigor rig.

The Fleet Typhoon can field 5 sentries versus the CNR's 3 and has two utility slots or 3.2 guns.

Isn't a reactive armor hardener more effective than a damage control? Especially with mission and the rather one sided damage types, the hardener regularly went to 60% resistance against Guristas and Sansha. I found two normal hardeners and a reactive hardener to be a rather effective tank.

depends on how much cap it eats. i heard fozzie say he would fix RAHs gobbling cap but i never tested it myself.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I'm torn with how to fit the thing. stoicfaux's fit looks to be the most reasonable, but I really want to throw drone damage amps on it and shield tank. but fitting painters and omnis is probably a better idea for most of the time.

and the reactive hardener uses 4.4 cap/s at lv1 to 6.3 at lv 5. which seems like a bit much.

Really?

but everyone and their effin mom is forgetting it's crap tank and missile explosion radius/velocity problems.
also you just cant take gardes and dish out whatever damage type you want, only therm.

also you dont have much slots for painters
also you dont get to fit MJD, not reasonable

Prove me wrong or gtfo

There are so many missions where targets are 100-80-120-60 km, not every single of em aint damsel in distress.
+you must travel to gates.

while you slowboat to target with TFI, while you slow down, while you deploy drones, while you aint oneshotting BC/cruisers if they are up to speed. While you do max dps @ 40km-ish range. While you carefully pick triggers and constantly sweat about scramblers,

meanwhile CNR just finished mission and warped off while tanking whatever comes at it with steven seagull face...

Because.....tank won't be enough with only 2?

How much tank are you guys aiming for when making fits?

As little as possible, but not less :D My rule of a thumb is three resists + repper for a Battleship. Most missions are easily doable with 2, but there are some like Angels Worlds Collide or Enemies Abound, where you might need a wee bit more.
