Reposted from public news source:

Algogille – The Federation Navy has increased the presence of its Tripwire special forces on the Caldari Border Zone as a result of “ongoing turbulence in the State”. The increase in forces was first noticed early this morning as the Federation moved ships, equipment, and materiel into the border constellation in an effort to detect any early incursion by Caldari forces.

The Federation Navy issued a statement calling the buildup a “normal security precaution” and stated that it expects there to be no escalation of hostilities from the State. “With the continued civil distress in the State, we are merely taking a proactive measure to prevent any incursions,” said a representative.

Meanwhile, there continues to be a lack of news about the whereabouts of Tibus Heth and his inner circle. Heth was last seen being escorted off-stage following a speech as the audience began to riot. Speculation has run rampant following his disappearance, but the CEP has denied knowledge of his whereabouts while Kaalakiota and the Caldari Providence Directorate have yet to comment.

Indeed not!

What opinion is there to have? The Federation's doing the strategically sensible thing and reinforcing their border with a hostile power that's having some domestic turmoil. you could pretty much render this headline as "Federation Navy does things by the book".

It could be considered cynical to regard that as being newsworthy.

Maybe I'm not remembering right, but wasn't there sightings of a few Chimera somewhere in the State undocking and leaving for Gods know where? ...I think....maybe I'm wrong. I thought I saw it from the FCORD feed.

Cynicism or a tendency for conspiracy theories could both be relevant, Hakatain-haan. Maker knows the Summit is prone to conspiracy theories. I expect we'll have Kim railing against the Federation's threat to our borders within the day.

Honestly, she's been awfully quiet ever since Erinen-haan's testimony. She does seem to still support Heth and hate the Gallente, but she's not been nearly as vocal about it as she used to be.

As for the Federation... I do hope that this turns out not to be newsworthy. Considering what happened to them last time we had a domestic shake-up, I can give them the benefit of the doubt. I just hope they won't start getting ideas if this doesn't play out the way they want it to.

Point, Hakatain-haan.

Agreed, Sterrick-haan. I'm sure Roden and Blaque realize that intervention would be counterproductive, but the Federation Senate seems more meddlesome.

Oh, Geez. You remember the last time he tried to say something in his own voice, right? The Heth smoking Crash "video"?

Indeed. This is just pure war mongering by journalists looking to provoke a confrontation.

We must stay calm and remember that lives are at stake.

Yes there were Chimeras, no they didn't go anywhere. They were just on guard duty providing logistics for the Caldari Navy XO when they were leaving the CEP inquiry into Admiral Yanala's death. They returned to the station.

Tripwire?

Wire the Feds still trusting in something that keeps Tripping and failing to defend them against invasion?

Except Tripwire failed once because of a betrayal from a Federal Admiral. Any defence network would be bypassed by internal knowledge of the highest level.

The system itself is effective and picking up and dealing with any hostile fleets, as has been demonstrated recently several times.

I have some former Moros crew that would disagree with your interpretation of Tripwire's effectiveness.

Tripwire is a border defense agency, the Republic fleet bypassed them by sabotaging the anticyno systems in Colelie. In any case, arguing that a system is useless unless it works 100% of the time is silly. Our ships shields can be penetrated, but that doesn't mean that we fly without shield generators...

Tripwire is actually just the defense system along the Caldari border.

As noted when the Caldari Navy attempted to cross the border in pursuit of transport ships.
