Career tutorial mission prerequisites?

I'm a new player currently working through the Exploration Career Missions. I finished the first 2 parts and accepted the third one only to find out that in order to be able to fit the probe launcher and core scanner to my ship, I have to train in Astrometrics first. I don't recall being told that. It would have been helpful to know that before accepting the mission because now I have to wait for hours before I can actually do it, missing out on the time bonus reward.

My question is, is there a list of prerequisites by mission that we can check out before doing specific missions?

um last time I checked Astrometrics is like a 20-some-odd-minute skill to train. No need to wait hours for it, push it to the top of the skill queue and go grab a soda and a sammich or work on one of the other tutorials.

Oh and I'm not aware of any lists of prereqs but if you read and pay attention to the text boxes that popup during the tutorials it will explain the modules you get as well as any skills you need for them.

Thanks for the reply. I'll pay closer attention to the mission details from now on. I guess I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all the info you need to keep track of while playing.

I think I got the hours of training time from having several skills training at once and basing the finish time on when they'd all be done. How do I push a particular skill to the top of the queue? Is it a simple drag and drop?

The previous mission gave you the astrometrics book and, unless it's been changed since I last ran it, did recommend that you train it as you will need it

Doesnt the mission before even tell you to train the skill?
I know most people dont actually read the missions/tips but for new guy they were invaluable.

I think they are giving you the skill for free when you make a character in the next major patch. This doesn't help current pilots however....

The skill is free now. After the patch it's just gonna be already inserted into new characters.
