I have a damaged pos, armour is gone and it is in hull. Can it be offlined and unanchored before the attackers return or does it have to be repaired?

On my way out to the system now but it is may jumps through hostile territory.

they diddnt finish it off first time around?

Its gone.

Or you'll be sitting there for 4-8 hours, with no pos shields to hide in to repair it in a carrier.

Write it off and learn from you're mistakes.
