Trying to remember the name of an old game... can you help?

This has been bugging me all evening.

I used to play a game that I can't remember the name of!

It had four factions: Scientists, Military, A good alien faction and an evil alien faction.

The game started in Antarctica where the scientists activated a crystal or something and it teleported them to another world. The scientists were then trying to find a way back to earth.

I remember one of the aliens riding a purple animal and saying something like 'Fair la Crum' and they had a Prime Minister that used to say 'Prime Ministerrrrb'

Any ideas? :p

Not sure, but some more info would help.

Platform? PC/MACs/Comsole? How old is this game? DOS-era? Was it on CD or something else?

Erm... On CD for the PC. And it would be around 10-15 years old I think.

Something's pinging at the back of my brain right now... Hang on; I'm gonna check Abandonia for some sort of match.

I wonder if it was a 4X or an RTS, though. That should help me chop it down a bit.

Do you have any more details? What genre? 2d, 3d or prerendered? Can you remember any exact quotes from any of the characters or names of things in the game?

It was a strategy game, top-down view where you controlled units. I remember a lot of environments being a purple colour and the graphics were along the lines of the first Starcraft game.

Well, Warbreeds fits the look of your description, but the story doesn't match up. Ugh

I've looked through the massive list of known rts and 4x games on wikipedia and rtsguru.com but I'm unable to find anything that matches. I usually pride myself in finding obscure information, but I'm admitting defeat on this one Cry
