Thats because the stations themselves are TARDIS style (Bigger on the inside than the outside), while offices are REVERSE-TARDIS style (bigger outside than inside).

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Stations in EVE need to be increased in size by at least ten fold. They are far too small. When designing said stations, if you ask yourself "is it big enough?", go bigger! Keep doing this until you no longer feel the need to ask yourself if they are big enough.

Erm, this doesn't seem right or very accurate with in game scaling. Also: Jita 4.4 would be so huge they would have to literally blow all moons around and the station would probably be for about 600 to 1500 bigger than it is, I'm not even sure this would be enough.

I wholeheartedly support a generous size increase to stations. After being around the Amarr undock for a reasonable period of time, you quickly begin to question how exactly they have managed to stuff inside the twenty battleships that have all undocked at once.

My favorite part is the stations that are fairly close to a small moon.

Zoom all the way out, and you can see that the station is actually a significant percentage of the size of the moon.
