Corp Billing

My corp uses a corp flat fee per character to fund operations. This is of course because % taxes only handle certain types of activities and this lets people who have more donate more and people who are new pay nothing while they build themselves up.

This would be a convenience change mainly: the ability for a corporation to issue bills to members or groups of members (maybe a new players group wouldn't receive a bill for example). This would also add in auditing, easily showing who has paid and who has still not paid. Bills could be set to be sent out every x days or on the 1st of the month.

There might be some value in corporation billing management showing maximum and average income (based on actual average payments). This improves the ability of CEOs to plan their operations without making spreadsheets themselves.

In general I think moving more of the planning and Managment side into the game would improve immersion and help a lot in a mass industry expansion that seems to be in the works.

I completely support the idea, it'll simplify things a lot.

i'm inclined to ask why your corp isn't able to pay for itself?

sounds like what you need is slightly better accounting / income management. rather than punishing your members for being in your corp.

0% tax rate - fee is equivalent of taxes. Hardly a punishment to contribute to a corporation that provides benefits for you. It just means mission runners and miners both have a standard way of contributing vs one having it automatically deducted.

Back when I was a newbie I didn't have money to give, but I got a Noctis to pick up salvage for mission runners more interested in shooting stuff and quickly built my way up to a point where a small fee was hardly difficult.

but then your fee is disproportionate to the amount earnt. which means your actually hitting your newer players for a higher % of your earning than the more experienced players that have the isk to give.

I understand the principle your aiming for, but i don't think this is the right way to get to it.

the real solution i guess would be to have all earnings taxes at a set rate. but managing that with market transactions might be a little messy.

Well that's partly why I suggested the ability to group different people in corp and have their billing fee show up differently.

Newbies don't pay anything in the version of the system I'm imagining. But a basic fee doesn't hurt older players much even as a flat rate (not like everyone is paying out 500m/month to corp).

Also a tax remains an option, but I think a formal billing system opens up the possibilities that a tax system fails to account for (namely that taxing a mission runner is easy and taxing a miner is harder).

so how does a player who runs pvp almost fulltime make his payments?

Corp sends out a bill, we can assume leadership will make an average of what a player should make in a month. Any null bears (or any player who favors pve in whateverr realm of the game they live in) would throw this number off. So you have the people content to make 80 mil, buy that BC and drive it itll it blows up then rat again with a bill they can't pay possibly.

As these people would be your actual pvp backbone (in that they pvp more than pve and we can assume are getting better at it), do you really want to send the bill collectors after them?

MIners....lots of ways to get thier cuts. 0.0 at the minimum you have refine tax control and a policy to only refine at corp station(s) to get that. Or you can tell them send corp a contract with xyz ore per month. I'd recommend the latter lacking a player station. It gets your auditing covered and your cut. And doesn't have your pvp pilots going wtf...you believe this crap? I lostt 3 BS's this month on crap ops and now these mofo's are billing me. they paid their bill already in "blood", they lost 3 BS'.

Great idea please add this option of taxing to corps CCP.
