New Caldari – Tibus Heth was absent from a board meeting of the Chief Executive Panel scheduled today to discuss the findings of the investigation into the events surrounding the Battle for Caldari Prime. Kaalakiota instead sent CFO Amaari Siainki in his place.

The move is considered highly unusual for the embattled State Executor, who normally insists upon CEO attendance at all board meetings of the CEP. [...]

Unlikely, Lagann. Heth is done and he knows it, and that him extremely dangerous.

I expect we'll know exactly where he and his Provists are before long.

I'm waiting when they will release the findings of the investigation to the wider public.

I can't see this going anywhere other than a Caldari civil war.

I'd get out now, if you can.

Then you do not understand how we resolve things in the State. There has not been a "civil war" in hundreds or thousands of years. There will not be one this time. The cancer will be excised from the body of the State and we will be stronger for it.

I would recommend the full mobilization of all Caldari capsuleer forces that wish to safeguard their fellow citizens. Heth is a madman that has been cornered, nobody can predict what he will do next.

Civil war? I rather suspect it won't, considering the public outcry against Heth and the Provists at this moment. Rather, it may be that the Provists as a group are attempting to let this blow over, by removing themselves from public view. Whether this will be successful in ensuring their survival is uncertain.

That the CEP is discussing the investigation without Kaalakiota representation and without Heth's involvement will influence the CEP's decision, I'm sure; whether it will be more guarded than otherwise, or more bold, is a valid question. I suspect that Heth's absence may give him the room to dismiss any ruling if he chooses, though that will likely incite additional measures against the Providence Directorate.

Interesting times, surely. Civil war...? Not likely, not yet.

Mr. Soter, I would recommend you not attempt to involve yourself in State affairs.

Just giving you fair warning. History has a way of repeating itself, and this has very ominous portents.

In which case, Mr. Soter, I ask that you give the warning and the historical allegory that's relevant, rather than issuing guidance without such support.

Just tell me

How many times Caldari boot should kick ugly gallentean face for it to stop trying to intervene into State affairs?

Eh?

He has a point, Heth was willing to have a scorched Earth policy against Caldari Prime, between what influence he has left among the Navy and his own ties to the Dragonaurs. He's not beyond causing significant harm, or the threat of to retain position.

I don't suggest it'll escalate into civil war, but there's the risk of violence, and where that exists, there's a risk of harm to the civilian populace.

Hmmm. I heard of this first on my local news. They are saying this is a big sign of a Caldari civil war. But of course it is best not to believe sensational media news and their "experts". Something is going on over there in Caldari space. In time we shall see what is really going on.

The danger with any mobilization is that it may precipitate further violence, may escalate what violence is already likely to occur. While it behooves us to stand ready, it is similarly important to not initiate or provoke violent acts that will quickly grow beyond our ability to control.

Care must be taken. Immediate, full mobilization is not care.

Civil war? Never.

While this is an outrageous turn of events from the Executors side, the idea that this should turn into a civil war is preposterous.

Though, I feel a strange tension growing. Whether it be the Executor doing something rash or the enemies of the State taking advantage of the situation has yet to be seen.
