I recently purchased a Rigged Gneiss off the market and I simply do not understand how to effectively pilot it. How can I avoid the destruction of my Gneiss ship and how can I use it to my advantage?

-High sec ganking strategies are welcomed.

-No scams please

I'm not sure I understand, when I go to check the skills required to pilot the Gneiss it simply says "Asteroid". Does this mean no skills are required to pilot? I should gnosis, but I am uncertain.

I sure hope you picked a gnosis and it wasn't gneiss.

If you were scammed, chat me up in game so I can help you avoid scams and point you in the direction of the honest merchants.

The gesture is much appreciated but I think I got a steal on this Gneiss deal. As far as scams go, I don't think I was taken advantage of. The Gneiss came fully fit with shield rigs and an afterburner. I was instructed to choose my own weaponry - based on my skills. I just don't know what is better for bumping miners.

Finally, something miners feel they can shoot back at.

Best of luck to you in your space warrior quest!

Also always remember, if you have your target locked and activate autopilot your ship will shoot by itself, while you can eject in your pod and proceed to board their ship like a true warrior.

What skills need to be trained in order for my Gneiss to be able to orbit hostile space planes?

The hostile space planes just need to press 'orbit' after they activate their mining laser on your Gneiss.

Do I have any countermeasures to stop hostile planes from stripping away at my defenses?

I'm sorry, but you'll need to sell your Gneiss and buy a Mercoxit for that ability

Glad you upgraded from that Veldspar. I hear there's this guy named Chribba who really has it out for those.

It's gneiss to meet you Freeman and i'm glad you had the gnosis to sniff out a good deal.

My advice would be realistically to fit whatever weaponry and upgrades are best suited to your current skillset.

Consumer flexibility and freedom of choice to explore options best suited suited to individual circumstances is important.

You might even fit a mixture of weaponry so as to take your soon to be vanguished space foe by complete surprise.

Have fun on your adventures.

Ah, yes! I gleaned some information in local chat from a Concord Approved Trader. She was of great help. Evidently the Gneiss is weak to lasers and so I should place some anti EM and anti Thermal rigs on it. I think I will go with armor tank as that is probably a gneiss defense against laser weaponry.

If you can't become a Mighty Space Warrior, you can at least become a Formidable Forum Warrior. You seem to be off to a good start.

Gneiss has no weakness to any particular damage type assuming sufficient tank / omni resists are applied shield or armor.

Nano Shield Gneiss I hear are more desireable than armor fitted ones as you have a few free lows to fit upgrades to augment and enhance the weaponry you choose.

It is indeed a flexible and fearsome space vessel that can whet and saite all pallettes.
