Just out of curiosity how much isk and training skills time does it take to have and properly fit and fly one of those ships?.

Someone said you can't do PVE on it, may I ask why?

Sure you can do pve in it.....I highly recommend it in fact. Not only is it exciting, everyone for miles around will want to come watch.....Shocked

People don't sit in titan's and SC's with their mains, most have a dedicated alt character flying it or a holding toon that can barely sit in it that once they are done with flying the ship on their main they transfer it over to.

Confirming for those that want a reasonable answer, that to be able to properly use a Titan and its mods would be around 18 months to two years. A bit longer if you are skilling other things in the mean time.

A Holding Alt takes just under 6 months to train (without implants or optimisation so i guess it would be about 4 - 5 months with all these) and is used so you can log off and still use your main for other PvP. Note the holding alt will not be able to use any modules with the basic set up.

IIRC, if you put a hanger in a hanger, the server explodes. One day they may be able to dock, but since anyone who can afford a SC/Titan can afford an alt account (i.e. another sub,) I don't see CCP rushing to fix the problem.

Just sad that CCP's method of rewarding long-term players is outrageous clone costs that deter people from participating in certain high-risk styles of pvp, and end-game ships that a) require you to be stuck in it 24/7/365 or b) get a second account.

You're a dedicated player, just pay for a second account to prove it!

I mean it's a fine ship and all. But it appears to be sort of an endgame. Get a Titan or SC and retire to the confines of your cockpit until called upon. No other activity allowed, PVE, mining or industry. Heck you can't even dock the thing.

For all intensive purposes, Your trapped. You are a slave to your alliance and your ship.

Why do you do it? Other then the cool flashy DD when you activate it.

in a sandbox game like 'eve online' you don't get railroaded into "fly a titan just because you've been playing for a long time"

it's a choice and like any other choice you make in this game there are consequences

Because alt account and char transfers equal money

old invested players have money and isk and ccp want as much as possible.

I had a super once, tasted like lonely ness (also you can't redeem free stuff or plex the account from space yey!)

I don't have a problem doing that because I have a jita alt with most of my isk on my supercap account

even if "create a caldari achura character on your supercapital account and literally spawn 2 jumps from jita" isn't an option for you for whatever reason you can just contract plex to your supercap pilot and activate them for gametime in the assets window

I have Logi 5 & have never been a slave to a logistics ship. Your alliance must be bad.

And Goonswarm would know a thing or two about being bad.

There was a time you couldn't even log them out.

I'm sure the Super Cap situation in EVE would be much different if that were still the case.

I was wondering if there were bigger stations to park titans in. But seeing I won't be able to sit in one for a while I never asked. I'd like to think at some point down the line at least a super Corp can build massive hangers to dock titans in so your character can still be free to do what's needed. Of course the structures would need 'effective' defenses. That a crazy idea? Hell id love to fly a titan. But at that cost if I couldn't dock it safely. So now im guessing somewhere in deep space there's massive blobs of titan pilots nervous about co ops ships. With all the mining that can be done. There must be a way to construct a super carrier docking fortress. And then the dust pilots can invade it to. I'll stop there. Brainstorm was growing in intensity.
