What happens if I'm skilling BC 5 during downtime on patch day (Odyssey)

My advice, don't be training destroyers or battlecruisers during the downtime.

You'll not only lose that time while you're paused, you'll be the most likely recipient of an "Oops, we hadn't thought of that scenario" bug with all those queue possibilities.

Don't tempt fate, train something else.

Oh, I forgot that some people try to be as much helpless as they can. But thanks to everybody else.


Discussing this issue I think I decide not to train during downtime (but I'm still interested in how the devs are dealing with this issue, though). A major argument for not training during downtime is the one that War Kitten said:

But I'm gonna change the skill queue as late as possible :).

Oh, and my main character has already trained those skills months ago. I just made the decision to train also my 2nd character in BC V too late (because my 2nd character is mainly in a supporting role). And I cannot plug in better implants since he cannot use level 5 implants. Also remapping is useless because I'm already training with max speed (so the 50k SP we got some days ago were about 19.1 hours of skill time I saved (multiplied by 4!)).

I managed to get through all my pilots but one. That one will still have a week left on BC V (yes, poor planning). Ill leave that training through down time just to see what happens.

Well, in my scenario the downtime is about 4 hours, so if I want to train all 4 racial BC skills to level 5 afterwards and if training on BC 5 stops at 13:00 o'clock, it will take me 12 hours instead of 3 hours afterwards.

After the servers are running again, is my character training anything (maybe a random racial BC 5 skill) or is the training queue empty? And what is my character training if I had additionally another skill which is not affected by the patch in the training queue (this is only possible if BC 5 has less than 24 hours to train)? Is he training the other skill after the downtime?

it'll get paused at downtime, and you'll be training nothing until you log in and start your skill queue again.
