I've travelled among all the empires of New Eden, sampling its many cultures, and these are my impressions of the passionate natures of the four nations:

1. Gallentean: "Oh yes! yes! yes!"

2. Amarrian: "Oh God! Oh God! Oh God!"

3. Minmatar: "AROOOOoooooo!!"

4. Caldari: "For the State! For the State! For the State!"

What are your impressions?

I'll have you know. I am rather quiet. Who the hell cares enough about the state to scream it out... at times of great pleasure.

My impressions are that your research is statistically flawed, and your face is lopsided.

From reading the Eve books, I know that Caldari CEOs prefer Gallenten hookers, because of the 'taboo' aspect of them. Also they are hot.

I hoped for so much more when I selected this topic.

Civire dockworkers on the downlow, especially.

When I first saw it in this old Impetus holo "Caldari Gone Wild" I watched back in the Navy Academy I thought it was exaggerating..

I have something juicier...

Based on real conversations mostly in the summit, names and time redacted, content creatively paraphrased to protect people's identities and fit the topic at hand.

Amarr

Anguished Preacher barged into the channel.
A.P.: You! There, why aren't you wearing a shirt, this is disgraceful.. (sorry I don't remember exactly what he said but he manged to go on for quite a while). You must cloth yourself properly now!
Me: Sorry, you're not my type.
A.P.: What does my "type" have to do with this? This is a matter of public decency. Your.. current attire is offensive, this is not how a capsuleer should behave, I expect more from this place.
Me: I mean your courting attempt was unsuccessful and will not succeed. You may stop now.
Assorted giggling from bystanders.
A.P.: What? How dare you suggest something so hastily. I am not attempting to court you. I am not interested in you.
Me: You aren't even aware of your own motives, pity.
A.P.: ...

To be fair, I don't really know if he was attempting to court, but he singled me from out of nowhere..

Caldari

Me: Intimate relationships of other state citizens are private matters, you ought not openly discuss them in public.
Idyllic Civire: ... Perhaps I spoke out of line. I was concerned about a dear friend, and my tongue got the better of me.
Me: Discipline~
Idyllic Civire: Right.. but you know what, it is (beep) weird being lectured by a University of Caille student on discipline. Dude, wear a shirt.
Me: What? Can't hear ya~

Subsequent exchanges were mostly about my (lack of) a shirt. I must press more buttons.

Gallente

This one mailed me privately.
Party Boi: handsome
Me: Uh, Thank you

Clean, no entanglements! \o/

Minmatar

They don't exist. 'cept that one I met in a bar...

Only in the Federation can all romantic pursuits be seen as purely sexual.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

Down with this sort of thing

This is a private opinion expressed by the capsuleer in question and does not necessarily reflect official TRN policy.

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.

As a Minmatar this correlates with my experiences.

Moved this post to the other thread, where it's more appropriate.

Andreus Ixiris > A Civire without a chin is barely a Civire at all.

Pieter Tuulinen > He'd be Civirely disadvantaged, Andreus.

Andreus Ixiris > ...

Andreus Ixiris > This is why we're at war.

What happens when they yell "Oh god, oh yess, Arooooo, for the State" in one line? I'm not sure if I can live with that confusion.

Be glad that you have a partner that is well versed in culture from all across New Eden and appreciate the opportunities and potential positions that sort of mindset allows for.

Which, the thread or its creator?

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.
