Just trying to get confirmation on the numbers for them.
I looked at the numbers from this site: http://neural-boost.com/odyssey#odyssey-1-5

Can anyone confirm if they are accurate?

I've updated this post, since they've changed the process decryptor (Boo! It was incredible the way you had it Blink )

And that is my issue.
I had a look at your numbers before I created this thread.

Your numbers and the numbers in the link I posted have some severe variations.
You have some stats at 190% bonus to invention? Can that make sense?

190% of the chance it had. i.e. +90%. a 1.9 multiplier

I assume that means that if, for example, my current success rate is ~40% then when using these decryptors my new success rate would end up at approx ~76 % (thats then 0.4 * 1.9). It would be ofc awesome if it would be just flat out addition to your existing success rate, but unfortunately, that's not how stuff in EVE works. It's almost always multiplication, not addition.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

Correct. The decryptor just provides a multiplier on the 'final' percentage chance/

Unless its far more expensive and far harder to find. In which case it will only be profitable to use in a very few situations.

That'd be the Optimized Augmentation

Which is stated to be rare in the description text (like the other optimized one).

It's also -10% on the success chance.

Well, I for one is reserving judgement on these decryptors until I see actual drop rates on TQ.

If these things just drop in null sec and you couple that with the enormous buff to science / mfg slots in null, and you are looking overall at yet another attack on high sec industry.

I am also looking forward to when CCP sets up Dust across all low sec and null sec systems, which gives a ridiculous manufacturing advantage to POS's in those systems. (4 districts = 40% drop in mfg rates = 67% advantage compared to high sec mfg rates.)

high sec industry must be "attacked" for a balanced game, you should be paying a significant amount (or nullsec should be getting a significant bonus) for manufacturing in perfect safety next to the galactic trade hub.

Not next to. 2 jumps away (at least if you want regular access to 0-wait lines).

As we know, moving materials two jumps in HS is a major hurdle that compensates for the myriad benefits of operating in invulnerable stations with near-zero operating costs.

I am not shocked the best defense you can make of an utterly broken system is, well, that.

How about this:

The system is not "utterly broken".
The science / manufacturing mechanism, while not perfect, needs none of the changes your group has already successfully lobbied for and get implemented in 6 days.
The science/ manufacturing mechanism needs none of the changes being lobbied for by the members of the new csm who overtly or covertly represent the interests of the null sec cartels. (by my count, at least 9 of 14).

This is all about diverting more of the 650 trillion ISK Eve economy through the hands of a very small group, who can then siphon off a portion, for whatever purposes they want, be it titan, or perhaps something with more real life connotations.

Oh, and tell your buddy that a 5 billion isk bounty on my head is chump change.

well this basically boils down to "no i don't like" there's not a single actual gameplay argument here (unlike, say, my or mynnna's numerous articles on the subject or the mere fact that a single highsec system 2 jumps from jita has more manufacturing slots than the entirety of scalding pass)

Hi.

I just double checked with the values on Sisi and the information on the page is correct.
However, CCP might decide to finetune them again before release. But I will try to keep an eye on it.

Hi! I'm a highsec manufacturer with no ties to any Alliances. (Apparently I work for Goonswarm, as I ran for the CSM, but I /still/ haven't received my cheque)

There are too many NPC slots in high-sec. They're also far too cheap.

There have been some suggestions ( http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/2013/05/12/renting-player-slots-reworking-industry/ ) that these should be pushed out to being PC run (gradual switchover) in POS. Rental from other players. Doesn't make up for the risk taken in low and null, but makes it somewhat more equitable.
