having trouble with singularity server

I have tried the following:

Running the shortcut to evefile.exe with the /server:singularity properties. It starts up the game in singularity and starts patching.

During the patch, I get the following errors:

http://pastebin.com/HtAM9yaV

I have tried running it in Admin mode in windows 7 and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I have also downloaded the new eve launcher provided https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=230690 and the launcher seems to show as tranquility instead of singularity.

I have tried running the repair "D:\EVE\repair.exe --server=sisi" and that also gives me the above error (see pastebin).

What else can I do to try get this working?

I would restart your computer. and use the server number not the name in the short cut. 87.237.38.50

If i dont know something about EVE. I check https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/ISK_The_Guide

See you around the universe.

Here is what I have done:

1. Made a new copy of the Eve Folder
2. Download the latest launcher from the dev link above
3. Applied the launcher
4. Run the shortcut to the Evefile.exe located in the bin folder ("C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\bin\ExeFile.exe" /server:Singularity)
5. It does a download for the launcher and I no longer get the error.
6. Launcher finishes validating but points to Tranquility.

How do I change the launcher to point to Singularity?

Well you're accessing ExeFile.exe directly, which takes it's server from the start.ini or common.ini (I forget which). You need to tell it where to go, and you do that by passing in /server:singularity. If you're constantly downloading stuff via ExeFile.exe it means your client is out of date and that you need to run the EVE Launcher to update. If you are constantly installing a Launcher, it will always autostart to Tranquility.

Firstly, I didn't think I was accessing the Exefile.exe directly as I mentioned I have a shortcut to the exefile with the /server:singularity param in that shortcut.

This is the properties of the shortcut:

Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\bin\ExeFile.exe" /server:Singularity
Start in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\bin"

Also, I did run the launcher update provided in the above post, however, after the patch finished, it automatically started up the launcher. The launcher however still says tranquility.

This does not work that way. IIRC Exefile doesn't accept /server command directly (only through eve.exe wrapper).

But I wonder why you have one shortcut pointed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\" and other in launcher log pointed to "D:\EVE"?
I think you might need to decide for yourself what client you want to update and launch.

If your test client located in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\ then you should install launcher provided by CCP Atropos in that directory and not in D:\EVE.
Then run eve.exe /server:singularity from C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\Eve Test\

Also just in case, remove space from "Eve Test" directory name.

The D:\ was the previous one. I had deleted it and create a new copy.

I did it on the Eve.exe and it seems to be working. Will wait for it to finish downloading. Thanks.
