Quick ? About a Tengu vs. Sansha

Well, I've finally settled on getting into a tengu and will be in it around the end of the month and have everything bought and ready to go.

Only potential issue I can think of is that the tank against sansha rats (my corp typically runs in amarr space) is in the 460-ish range. i assume this should be sufficient for lvl 4s considering my sig and speed will also be a big factor. Am I pretty much right on this? Just used to using BS class ships with their beefier on-paper numbers, but I am getting a little bored of their lack of speed in the multi-room missions.

Tank is fine, just keep moving. Dps is the issue, without kinetics bonus. It won't match a decent laserboat BS, but can of course still complete the mission.

Use the sub that offers drones. Slightly higher dps than thunderbolts alone from the accelerated ejection bay.

Worst advice possible. When you factor in the time to deploy drones and the time for them to travel from target to target, the dps end up being quite a bit lower.

When you say "Amarr space" I presume it's high sec? If so use agent finder to find anything but Amarr factions in your area. You may find enclaves of Minmitar or Caldari or even Gallente agents that could use a Tengu pilot ;)

The alternative is to fly alongside corp mates and do missions together. I wouldn't change out your missiles for non-Kin types as you will find that there is little difference in any case.

Finally, if you are still unsatisfied you could always use a Gila instead? The drones don't care and your Cruiser V skills will give you a good tank.

There is no sub that offer drones. Tengu is fine for up to Angels, which has kinetic has 2nd lowest resist, but against Amar rats, it's left with around 450 dps without the kinetic bonus.

I am actually doing Amarr missions with Tengu.

With Sansha, I just simply orbit @ 2500km and quickly kill all frigates with precision missiles. After that, Tengu is immortal, U can have whole room attacking and they are doing almost no dmg. I just orbit with afterburner on and kill ship by ship. I am using EM + Inv hardeners (yes, 2 total) this build:

Against Sansha I am using EM missiles.

DPS isn't Nightmare-like, but oh well...I don't have skills for Tier 2 energy guns.
