Scanning and Probes

I'm on the test server trying out the new probing setup and options but having a few issues.
1. When launching probes it launches all 7 at once at a default of 4 AU for pinpoint, 16 AU for spread the only way to increase this is to select each launched probe individually and set it to maximum of 32AU, once you run the scan there is then no way to narrow your scan width without again going to each probe and reducing it manually.
2. There is no way to manually launch probes in a personal preference setup.
3. Both default spread patterns at launch are quite terrible
4. Launching drones and manually moving them to my preferred config (which works well for me) is very time consuming
5. When using combat probes I may only want to launch 1 or maybe 3 instead of the maximum of 7. I really don't want to have to wait an extra 10 seconds while my launcher reloads especially if a target is bouncing around a system and the need to quickly launch a few new probes in a different direction might catch him.
6. If launching the total amount in the launcher is the the way it is to be, the option to adjust the amount of probes loaded each time would help.

Finally; An option to launch probes as they do now and set your own grouping, bring back the resize option (shift, left mouse button, drag to resize)

NB; Don't know if there were any asteroids spawned in the system, all I managed to find (after 1hrs 25 mins) was a combat site which I managed to get to 86% before giving up due to - click resize probe, click resize probe etc. Never got to see how the new options for scan results work, didn't get to see a description of the site other than "combat site" which is visible from 20%.

I was looking forward to the changes in scan sites and hacking with the coming update but if this is the best can be done with probes and the actual scanning down of the sites, then I probably won't be doing a lot ..

1: You don't need to select each probe individually. Stop trying to control the probes via the scanning console and just drag the range bubbles larger.

3: Are they really? What's terrible about them?

4: It wasn't time-consuming to move the probes before, when you had to launch them one-at-a-time and still set them up manually, but now when they all launch at once and you have to set them up manually it is?

5: After launching a probe, does it take you less than 10 seconds to configure the location and range of the probe, then scan?

6: You can selectively load a specific amount of probes by dragging the desired amount onto the launcher icon.

The resize option still exists, and it resizes + repositions all the launched probes at the same time. Just drag the range bubble larger or smaller.

I have no idea what scanning system you're using where you can't interact directly with the probes for all functions and need the scanning interface for anything other than scanning, recalling probes and viewing the results.

Perhaps if you would have read the feedback thread, you would have 1) posted in the right place 2) read about some of the tricks to using the new system.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I stand corrected, thankyou. I looked for the devblog and searched the forums trying to find out what I was doing wrong. But like most forums, without knowing the exact name of what I was looking for the search results returned 52 pages of results.
