BB is a fat pig of a ship with a crap tank. Jamming your way out of a gate camp sounds like a lot of fun, but only 30% of camps are manned by noobs, the others have enough alpha that jamming is irrelevant. Your experiences aside I don't see ECM as a reliable tactic for evasion.

how to escape gatecamps? easy. learn about all the losec entry points you need to, and travel about them in a shuttle or frigate thru them so you may learn which ones are usually camped or not.

Yes.

When you enter a low sec system, check local. If there are more than about five people other than you, then you need to 'bounce'. Warp to a random planet in the system, open map, check nearest planet to gate. Warp to that planet if you're not already there, then d-scan the gate to check if it's clear. You have to decide what you want to do from there. Wait them out, find another route, or just run the camp. Of course, if there's no one at the gate, then go for it.

Your biggest problem will always be the other side of the gate though. Not much you can do about that but check intel on the next system in Dotlan or in-game sov details.
