Oh yeah, Carpenter's "The Thing" was excellent. I've heard the PC game was great too, for it's time at least. "The War of the Worlds" and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" remakes were good too. I like the original "Body Snatchers" better, though. It's so deadpan that it's creepy. Like one of 1950s science documentaries with guys in black suits with Clark Kent glasses. Except they were unloading snatcher pods out of trucks.

How could I forget those ! Pretty much all those that qualify as raid-able have been done. "King Kong" even twice.

An abomination the whole fan base has reacted to in a similar fashion to the reaction to the new Xbox.

They want to make money, not movies. Why risk their money on new property which is not guaranteed to sell on it's name alone?

Frankly, for a split second i was thinking of *some other* equestrian girls... Lol

But now seriously, that "MLP become gurls" film must be one of the craziest sh*t i've come upon in a while. It is so wrong in so many levels that it evidences how Hollywood may not be on crack any more, but it certainly *is* on something...

I wonder if this means we'll get a decent watchable version of Battlefield Earth in the near future.

John Carpenter is remaking Dark Star! Hey,... it could happen. Honestly. Roll

The movies are not remakes. They are: relaunches; re-invisions; previously made; new & improved dog food that will give your dog a health coat.

"Will the dogs eat the dog food?" Oh No! Not another meeting with marketing.

The war of the worlds remake was god awful because of those damn kids.
