CCP love the new art, can we make it so Lasers that miss, actually do?

you'd think they would do this atleast on your own ship when it is rendered locally for gods sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used to have that.
Like we used to have engine trails.
Like we used to have shiny shield bubbles, instead of the lame **** we have for hardeners and local SB.
Like you used to be able to easily tell if you (or victim) was cycling a armor rep.
Like we used to have a decent cynoeffect.
Like sensorbooster wasnt always omg-im-blind discolight for several km around your ship.
liek.....

Notice a trend?

New shadows on the test server are nicer than on TQ. But, the light from the sun still penetrates planets and stations and applies to the ship as if they weren't there.

It's a nice improvement.

I guess this has no effect on the shadows ships cast on eachother and stations? Especially the frigate->station shadows are ..Ugh.

Are there plans in the pipeline to have planets and moons cast their shadows on ships and stuff? In my opinion, this should be in the top of the Shadows-stuff-to-do list, if it's reasonably feasible.
