If implants were made to expire instead of being destroyed to fuel the economy, and if podding did not occur, would people PvP more? Especially considering one of the easiest ways to get implants is through FW?

Sometimes the cost of the ship is secondary to the cost of implants. If the risk of losing implants in combat went away my guess is more people would participate.

This is the start of the road to hell, where all PvP is instanced...

I thought the whole fight to get through their ship was for that euphoric feeling that only podding gives .

Or, y'know, have a blank jump clone and x-fer to that if you want to go pew pew.
It doesn't take that long to raise standings enough to install a jc.

Let's make all ships cost 100 ISK!

Stop being so 1 sided. While the game is indeed based around PVP not everyone wants to go out looking for it. People should be allowed to play the way they want to play, not the way others want them to play. They are not excuses, they a reasons. It's just not something everyone enjoys.

Get rid of clone costs and the silly need to click a button to protect your SP.

Leave learning implants in the game, that is risk choosen by the player.

Let players choose how much to risk instead of it being forced upon them by the antiquated clone system.

Then don't do it no problem there.

The issue here is this : At what point should we stop reducing the risk?

You can set up 4 jump clones. It is not that people can't fight without the risk of loosing implants to a podkill. They CHOOSE to fill all their clones with expensive implants. Now we could add another 4 or 6 clones , i can tell you now it won't change one thing. Those people who don't pvp now because of implants will not pvp when they can't get podded.

Then it will be a problem that you loose too much isk on a T2 ship loss. And when that problem is countered it will be something else.

It's the same as with kids.Every day they got an excuse why they can't do X or Y but it just comes down to not feeling like doing it at all.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Perhaps you are confusing excuses with reasons, why should I break away from my profit making venture to fly a ship that i am not optimum in and get podded by you just so i can say i am brave? I think i will just cloak up and wait till you get bored, for now. But do continue to hunt me, because if you did not, than my game would not be as much fun either! Remaining elusive requires skill as much as does the hunt. But dont take my implants just because you see that as the reason I do not openly fight. For those very implants that you despise are bringing up your next opponent that much faster.
