The faction standing gain at the end of an epic arc

I seem to remember reading reports that one of the options at the end of each empire epic arc yields a sizeable faction standing increase that does not result in standings decreases to other empires and which is shared with fleet members. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is the case?

i do not know about shared standing rewards , however i can confirm there is NO negative standing hit with the opposin empire standing

the sizeable faction standings boosts that you get with the final mission of an epic arc do not share with your fleet members. Corp standings boosts and isk rewards do share.

The epic arcs do provide those faction boosts without the normal derived losses (and gains) with other factions ... altho there are faction losses associated with quite a few of the actual missions.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

They used to be shared in fleet, but CCP "fixed" that for us...Lol

As for faction losses, if i remember correctly, only two of them incur empire faction standing loss. And both of them aren't bad.
Caldari arc incur some small Gallante standings loss due to killing Gallante rats. It requires killing some Caldari corp ships, but no Caldari faction loss.
Gallante arc incur some Syndicate standings. It requires killing some unaffliated Minmatar ships, no Minmatar faction loss.
Minmatar arc incur some small Ammatar/Amar faction loss due to killing ships.
Amar arc incure no non-pirate standing loss. It requires killing some unaffliated Amar ships, no Amar faction loss.

Just curious. If you got Amarr faction standing, where is the faction on your list?

I have negative standings with all factions, so they are all under disliked.

Dropbear mentioned it in the last week or two of the old forums. Typing on a phone or I'd look it up for you.

I think I got it from gate camping low sec back in the days. As you can see it's pretty much noob corps that are mad at me.

And regarding the Dropbear post, I assume you mean this one?

Until someone actually has some proofs of the standings not being shared I'm gonna go ahead and say that they are. As much as I like our friendly devs and GMs they have been wrong in the past, like during their statements on wether sleepers are affected by WH effects.

So if you think I'm wrong bring some hard evidence that are not forum posts.

Evidence of standings non-sharing is impossible, it would look the same as solo without fleet. But yes, they did it after dropbear's post, probably thanks to his efforts...

No it wouldn't be impossible. The player you share with would get the isk but not standings if it didn't work.

well, there's enough confusion that I'm gonna give it a shot and see what happens; will be pulling the missions with an industrial character who has high amarr standings and running them with a pve character who has sort of been gleefully killing legions of amarr and caldari NPCs for their sweet sweet tags and is now hovering at around -1.8 to amarr after skills. we shall see what we shall see.

LOL. Ummm, someone ask a question here. Ppls try help as best they can. You don't like / agree-with some of their answers. You throw it to the forum to 'proove' you wrong. Inya dreams buttercup.

I'd be more than happy to update my understanding of that game dynamic if you show it's not correct but AFAIK that's how it works ... and I have run a lot of epic arcs.

Still I entirely accept that I could (shudder) be wrong :-)

I posted my evidence of sharing working 1 month after Dropbear's post stating that it doesn't. Still people claim that I'm wrong without anything more than "it shouldn't work because Dropbear said so"

Look through my screenshots if you don't believe me, check the dates compared to Dropbear's posts.

I don't agree with their oppinions because I have facts stating otherwise, so until someone gives similar proofs of this no longer working I will dismiss all claims that it doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, I would be happy if someone actually did it, I just don't accept "I think you are wrong" without anything to back up the claim.

In retrospect, I should have added that you're not the only one to claim to get shared standing since then and that I have no direct experience myself. Duly noted and it seems we still don't have a definitive, up-to-date answer either way.

Just tested the SOE epic arc, since no other faction allows me to start one, and too short notice to find a friend that has one up tonight.

But the result is that the standings were shared between me and my friend which can be seen in these two screenshots taken a few minutes ago:

So now I have posted proofs two times in this thread, and so far I'm the only one doing so. The first being from one month after Dropbear's post and the second one from today.

So buttercup, how much more is needed to convince you that I infact am the only one that actually tested this and showed actual results instead of speculating?

Shrug. You win. At least the SoE arc hasn't been changed and Dropbear was mistaken and/or distracted by other things. So for now, faction standing gains seem to be shared.

Got a friend to do the Amarr epic arc tomorrow to bring total closure to the matter.
