Honestly it is..it's just like the game itself takes a large investment in time to get a good return.

At first it seems like everyone is out to scam you and for the most part they are.. but if you can
find a good group of people it can make all the difference.

Very ture, I have gotten a few friends into the game, but it is hard for us since we are all so young to the game haha. We all love it but it will be a while before we get anywhere. I have one buddy local that plays that got me into the game but we dont really play the same way, all he does is mine and he doesn't like to take risks. I figured I would try to find some local guys to chat with about it because this game does take a large investment of time and I have a blast talking about it.

I'm on the west side, but work near Polaris. Definitely looking to network for RL and in game opportunities, or just drink a beer.

I'm over in Grove City, it would be fun to go out for a drink. Still pretty new player but hit me up in game :D

We are pretty active, only have a dozen or two members but most everyone gets on on a daily basis, I am usually on for about 5 hours a day myself :D When do you usually hop on?

Its too bad Origins does not have an Eve event, probably would be able to get lots of people there.

I know this is old, but I live in Akron, ohio and will ride my bike once summer's here! Would love to meet up sometime in the future and have a couple beers and shoot the **** about the game. Been around eve since 2005.

I am somewhat local (New Albany, OH) but due to my work schedule, I rarely have any time off besides the weekends. Someone mentioned not having an EVE meetup at Origins, well its more of a reason to start one up! I will keep watching this thread should something come up.

I will be at Origins and am up to meeting people. We just need to decide when and where. I would prefer something no so late since my son will most likely be in tow (Davi Khan)

I will be at Origins as well. I'm just south of Dayton. I'll be there with all of my local corp peeps. I have a wedding to go to on that Friday, but Saturday I'd be available, and could probably tow them along.

Lets go for a Saturday meetup then. We could make it Eve Fanfest style and all meet in the Poker room, swap stories while we best each other at Poker. There is a 6pm event of Dealers Choice.

There is also a 12pm Texas Holdem event.

As it stands, I may be able to go on Saturday, barring that work does not call me in (crosses fingers). What time did you folks plan to meet up? I would love to stay that late, however I am technically scheduled to work on that Sunday.
