Why the calls for unsubs of WiS Fans?

You may make CCP think they're doing the wrong thing going back into space features.

Seriously Stop it.

I like Space Features please dont make the WiS guys bio enmass and make ccp think they need to steer another direction the lot of you dont like. Do the exact opposite encourage more subs for the times they do more space features.

WiS guys aren't going anywhere.

1. They're attempting to use a similar tactic to the FiS fans over the summer. They aren't unsubbing though, simply shouting.

2. There are only 10 of them. (There used to be 12, but two of them really liked the new T1 ship skins introduced today.)

Peoples' lives are too boring. Probably most of the people shouting for WiS just want to have forum PVP. The earnest few just need to go spend some time in Second Life.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

I know just folks like Lady Harlot strike and odd chord with me.

Though yes I would like to see a balanced approach WiS core needs to be shelved for now until they figure out a clear and concise direction to move with those features.

Right now where they are at I approve. Technical Artist working on optimization, Regular artist assesting resources for the future, networking guys making it all talk better and the fashion artist still on the payroll to expand the nex store.

Everyone else back in space and working on the next big thing, Dust 514 intergration.

My point in that thread was that if there really is a huge population of Eve players who can't live without space barbies that the fastest way to be heard is to get them all to unsubscribe to protest CCP refocusing on actual Eve gameplay. Of course there isn't a huge population of Eve players who can't live without space barbies so it's not like I'm suggesting something that's going to cause CCP to go bankrupt.

Well I know you arent the only one there are alot of others I've been seeing calling those guys to unsub as well.

Either ways I think we should be well past the point for calling for anyone to unsub. Seriously every week there is like another person try to start a protest of some sorts.

I'd look to Dec 20th onwards to gauge the real effect of this. It should be an interesting time.

I honestly did unsubscribe three of my four accounts over it. No biomass though. There's room in EVE for WiS and FiS and I'll just wait and see what happens.

I won't call for anyone to unsub, regardless of their playstyle. After all, the more people paying to play EVE, the more CCP can hire additional developers to expand the game. I just want them to add something that keeps new players interested for longer than two months, whether it's FiS, WiS, or even Dust (which should be available on PC).

WIS will not double the population of EVE, the fact that WIS will end up being such a small part of what you can do in the game will keep it for the niche players.

I would say you might get a 10-15% increase due to WIS but doubling it? I highly doubt it.

WiS style gameplay kept Star Wars Galaxies (an otherwise horrible game) alive for 7 years, until Lucas shut it down in favor of SWTOR. Big smile

But even then, a 15% increase to 400k subs is 60k more players... or $900,000 more per month in subscription fee income. That should appeal to CCP's bottom line. Imagine how much more FiS AND WiS they could develop with that?

These numbers are more agreeable. Dust 514 may bring in more people than WiS, and if you make WiS a intermediate meeting place between the two worlds who knows then.

Incarna's price tag wouldnt suprise me at a couple million USD for its start to walking in stations, at least the most expensive parts are over.
