EN24 & TMC

I've found that when comparing TMC and EN24, TMC tends to rate a lot better on the Signal to Propaganda scale.

EN24 has always felt like the Weekly World News of EVE, while TMC is more like People.

No.

I am saying that one side saying one thing and another side saying the opposite does not mean the truth is in the middle, and that assuming that the truth is in the middle is lazy, sloppy thinking. I am saying that what one should instead do is apply some critical thinking skills and obtain additional information if possible and make your own judgement. I am also saying that this is true in general and in any context, rather than just in the specific dichotomy being discussed in this thread.

I like TMC. The sci-fi book reviews are always well written and i enjoy reading them and the books they suggest. Also i like the ALOD section.

EN24 is just a chain of bad posting.

Anyone suggesting that EN24 is anything but wholesome truth is a liar.

It clearly states beneath the 'logo' that it's content is comprised of "All the taste, none of the bullshit".

I enjoy reading both sites and check them every day. Haters always gonna hate, I for one am happy that Riv and Mittens do what they do.

I stopped reading EN24 after riv switched to a ****** new layout for his homepage then threatened to ban me when i pointed out it was way harder to read than his old one.

One thing that I do feel obliged to do which is often overlooked is that a healthy portion of the content on EN24 is reposts. Dev Posts, Blogs etc etc.

Make of that what you will.

And in defense of Eve News 24. His new design did look pretty slick at one point. But then he got threatened by The Verge online magazine and he had to gut the whole theme. Poor guy.

Hi! I'm Tegiminis from TMC. I proof and write some stuff on the side. If you see a minor typo or tonal issue in an article, it's probably my fault Oops I'm not affiliated with or have any allegiance towards goons.

TMC is full of a diverse bunch of writers from all over the EVE universe (and other games), and I can say that it's some of the most intelligent, well-spoken, interesting people I've had the pleasure to work with. There is no axe to grind; presuming as such is more indicative of your personal allegiances than of the general thrust of TMC. Mittani does not demand writers cover things in a certain way, and every staff member - writer, proofer, and editor - has a different opinion or viewpoint on a situation. The site is not a monolithic goon propaganda site. In fact, it's one of the better game journalism sites in terms of quality, and I should know: I've worked as a game journalist for almost half a decade now.

EN24 is shlock garbage. Riverini has a grudge against The Mittani, and it's patently obvious to anybody taking the remotest amount of time to read EN24. He goes so far as to admit it in the counterpoint to Incindir's article, both in his Skype screencaps and in the comments. He's "waiting for goons to slip up." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about EN24 and Riverini's deranged behavior, then you're a moron and probably can't read.

I'm delighted to work with the staff at TMC every day. I've never felt that way about a site I've worked for before. It's a nice feeling.

Your entire post is nothing but lies and propaganda, and some other stuff with names that means it's bad.

Actually, in all due seriousness, as much as the in game persona of the goon-club irritates me, TMC is a decent place to get a quick wrap up of what's going on in MWO and Eve. The bias that exists (where it exists) isn't that hard to recognize if you do some critical thinking of your own, but you know :effort: - some people are against expending any, it's just easier to sperg and yell "GOOOOOOOOONS" whenever something goes wrong.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I think the most awesome thing about this thread is none of the neckbeards in it get that the site is not his, nor is it run by him, its Endies site, they just stole his name. Does he write for it? Sure, but does he run it? Nope.

I don't really see how you can compare the two sites - TMC tries to be a gaming magazine (not really a news site) while EN24 is mostly an EVE blog aggregator (with almost no original content), it's two entirely different concepts.
