What is this... some lipstick on the pig for industrialists’ like me?

This is completely unacceptable. I know that CCP abandoned any idea to improve industry many a year ago...

Who would dare violate operating procedures and go and do something like this...
I demand to know, who at CCP decided to sexy up my blueprints?

Could you be an ally in war with CCP over industry? Disclose to me your name
and you shall be spared my wrath in the upcoming war I intend to bring…

Unbelievable…they look good…

Shiny for the sake of shiny is TOTALLY POINTLESS unless you want people with attention spans of seconds and an in game duration of months not years.

Waste of the man hours that went into it, they could have used that graphic artists time for something more relevant, unless of course they bought a batch change tool and it was done with the swipe of a mouse and the click of a button

If it helps soothing your ache, changing the blueprints like that was probably just a stress test on tedium posed at an intern.

If they had all the raw images around, all it needed would have been changing the transparency and/or layer mode in every icon to get the result. Hell, maybe someone did that in his free time just because.

Wow... people are complaining that something looks better. Where will it end?

Never.

Even though it was probably just "busy work" for one of the guys because they didn't want to sweep the floor the other night and wanted to find something better to do but, oh well.

this, provided all the RAW files are stored correctly, a simple script can do this in no time, 5 min of scripting, maybe 5 min for it to run (at the worse, i bet it didn't even took 1 minute), so not much of a dev time wasted...

CCP finally, months back, takes care of something that has been asked for years by many and what do we get....

A few that declares it a horrible waste of time. LolClassic

I was hoping for a little more... functionality, but sure, aesthetics are good, too.

The reason the icons look better is a side effect of us refactoring the tools and process that generates the icons for the IEC toolkit. This work was done to speed up and improve the reliability of the IEC generation so we could reduce the amount of man hours it took on each new IEC build.

I promise that no graphic artist’s time was wasted! Blink

sure i will, gotta do something when launcher fails and you gotta manually change config files to gett it working and end up downloading 800Mb plus

but you assume too much regards age, and attitude...

Re the IEC kit, its just a dump of game assets is it not with regards to icons like BPO´s and BPC´s?

A batch change like this takes 10 seconds of work time in Photoshop. Yup, definitely worth whining about.

You notice the underlined bit, i´m ok with it if this method was employed as its quick and simple and just like old dos >ren *.dat *.txt is.

All it needed was it was batch changed and took 5 mins, but they went off topic

As for the rest: Make an observation about motivation behind a change and people don´t understand what your actually saying or read and comprehend the follow up.

Oh and i really like them btw.
