UPDATE: Tallest showed Soundwave who is boss, and sleepers will stay in wh profession sites. I'm shiptoasting from my iPoo and cba to copypasta, link in Terrorfrodo's post on page 2.

Thought this might be of interest:

Hey everyone

As of today, the data/relic sites (the old hacking/archaeology) sites have been updated for highsec and lowsec. We’re currently working on updating the 0.0 ones, which should be coming within the next 2-3 days.

For now, we’d love it if you tried our new exploration experience. Grab a ship, head into high sec or low sec and scan some signatures. What we’re looking for specifically, is stuff like:

  1. How do you like the look and feel of the new sites? We put in new containers and moved things around.
  2. How do you like the hacking challenge? What were the results? (what was your strength and coherency, did you win the challenges etc)
  3. How do you like the new looting mechanic?

Quick note: This thread is the sites/hacking game/loot mechanic. Probe, system scanner feedback etc, is not for this thread.

Also, I think I'll do a few known issues:

  1. There are some performance issues related to the clouds in some sites
  2. The 0.0 sites have all the containers on top of each other
  3. Wormhole sites still have NPCs - they should be taken out like the other sites
  4. Containers do not despawn properly upon completion

Anyway, we’ll be watching the thread for potential changes, thanks guys.

Thing is, WH Radar's and Mag's have never followed the trend of those types of sites in K-space.

In K-space these "mini profession" sites were always easier than their combat counterparts.

But in WH space these sites generally seem to be harder. For example a C2 radar fights a bit closer to a C3 anom etc.

So I don't see the relevance to making them like k-space ones.

hardly a nerf. with those sites being a fair coin it just means more easy income for loads of people. you can even do them in like c6 black holes then!

Possibly. Or it will just depress the prices of those items as they will be easier to get, like ventures have done for WH gas.

Either way, it could get more people moving through wormholes, which in turn provides more targets.

How is this an income nerf? It's a massive buff.
Basically free isk for anyone who can be bothered probing out mag sites in C5-6 holes.

Personally I think no rat mag/rad sites are a silly idea in general but in WHs it's just stupid.

I dont want to say it, but you know up to how much isk one person alone can do in a mag in 15 minutes dual boxing.

Bob Artis, you will be missed.

Doesn't matter either way, the benefit of slightly more profit (I say slightly because you can already get the talocan loot easily from radars and mags without dealing with the sleepers, and the other cans have **** loot in general), is balanced by loss of ability to get escalations.

Also, inb4 they remove the sleepers but forget to remove the escalation spawns. Will be top lel.

Thing would be, as shown on the vid and sisi. Once those cans are deployed, you only have a few seconds to grab them or else they disappear. This would give that a few would be required to assemble all cans whilst 1 is hacking or analyzing.

CCP just fixing the fact people could just ninja the cans in the mag and radar sites without killing a single NPC. Many people have made trillions doing this for the past 3 years. I myself probably made ~10 bil in just a month without killing a single NPC.

Ok, guess I should have been more clearer in the OP, I was not so much referring to the personal ISK income as to the total number of sleeper wrecks, and the (smallish) reduction of the total blue loot ISK faucet. In Odyssey, there will be less sleepers in New Eden, not a huge amout but still. Those who run C3s might experience a minor hit to their income, I don't think this raises the rib prices significantly, they just get less blue loot and salvage.

It will nerf C2 income, as the mag and radars in C2's were good candy. C3's and up? Grab your parasols, ladies, for a walk in the park.
