New Launcher Sucks, Revert everything to where it was yesterday.

I just want to take a moment and acknowledge the fact that the new launcher sucks space balls.

Not only has it been a pain in the arse to sign in, but now I have to reconfigure settings, views, overviews and everything else across multiple accounts.

So thank you CCP for giving me a day of eve where I am not actually going to be able to play since I will be fixing everything.

I'm having a difficult time seeing how this is an improvement over the old launcher as well.

It takes me longer to launch multiple accounts, it "validates the install" EVERY time it opens, COMPLETELY, meaning it takes 3-4 minutes every time you open the launcher. Take this across 4-9 accounts and that's a lot of waiting.

Regarding your reconfiguring of settings, did you try restarting the EVE Launcher and checking to see if the client loaded your settings correctly?

CCP Atropos, While I want to point out that I do in fact admire all the hard work you put into this new launcher, I have to wonder and be critical on it, what is going to happen with our beloved login screens from Oddissey onwards? And login music? I'm tempted to just bypass the launcher altogether from now on and launch the exefile directly.

I do wonder how much longer we will be able to do that for. If the launcher SSO and the loss of "only display launcher if a patch" is anything to go by I would be not much longer

The new launcher the worst update CCP has done I'v had to delete Eve, and download and reinstall the hole game again took over 2 hours, running the iMac 27" and it is still playing up I'm getting frame freeze every now and again so its a restart. come on CCP get your act together OopsOopsOops

It is indeed the most annoying and worst 'update' so far. What was wrong with the old launcher? Right, nothing.. I quit one alt to log in again and it fails to get me online now. Really terrible judgement from CCP, there was no need to create this 'update'. Thanks for wasting my Eve time and money. Make up for this ASAP

I had been concerned after recent patches that CCP had managed to build a relationship with it's playbase that included considering the needs of the players and acting on feedback received regarding it's regigorous testing of patches.
It's good to see that my fears were unfounded and indeed CCP are still the idiots I remember from days of old..

Why is it when I run the Eve Client through the launcher all the login text writes on top of itself through 98% of the loading screen and takes a bit longer to fully login but when I run the Eve Client directly in the "bin" folder it loads quicker and does not write text on top of text during login?

My launcher updated, and now the launcher will not launch.

Again, I double click the launcher icon, and the launcher will not open up. Ugh

To run multiple accounts takes longer.

If one account "DC" (disconnects) you still get the restart or quit screen, but when you hit restart, you have to close the launcher and restart the 5 min log in again.

Really poor upgrade Cry

I am also getting the issue, DC causes major issues (restart will not work, launcher has to be closed, I keep getting asked to accept the terms among other issues), Multiple accounts logins suck. Overall the worst update since the launcher was implemented.

Do us all a favor and get rid of it.

-Why is the Launcher's animations so ******* laggy
+I got the EULA agreement and it: slowly..spans..out..and..then..when..i..click..Accept..it..slowly..closes..and..displays..the..Play..button.

+Clicking on the three yellow circles that, atm, cycle between EVE Universe Origitns, EVE Collector's Edition, and Dust 514 Launches. It again lags with each cycle. But the automated cycle-through is nice and smooth.

-Why is the the scroll bar for 'Latest News' causes me to highlight sections of the launcher while dragging the SCROLL BAR

I have to agree that for those of us running multiple accounts this is a real downgrade.

I hate how the new launcher FULLY validates the client installation every single time. If I'm just logging in to do PI, check my mail, or change a skill, this verification can take much longer than the time I'll actually spend ingame. In fact, I just tested this out - Pitting the launcher against the EXE, I was able to load the EXE file, log in, finish my six planets' worth of PI, and come back here to post about it before the launcher finished validating. This is madness and something needs to be done.

I did infact try to restart the launcher, however none of my settings were there it appears that in someones haste to roll out the new launcher, or the subsequent patch that was released shortly after, they couldn't be arsed to verify that that the game/launcher was still using the same directory for settings. As it turns out the new launcher/game creates a new directory for the settings nad prefrences, so after hours of fumbling around before i finally stumbled on this little tid bit all i had to do was copy the settings from the old directory to the new and the issue was resolved.

However with this new Luancher/patch we have lost the abilty to log out and return to the log in screen without completely closing the game and starting again. Which I must say is a real pain in the arse if you need to change toons.

Any chance we can get a button added to the ingame settings menu that returns us to the character selection screen?

I rarely, if ever, come here, I let the game get better and worse and just deal with.

However.

THIS NEW LAUNCHER SUCKS CAMEL TESTICLES.

Was it never tested in a multi account situation? Come on guys.

I can't even log on anymore. I had to download an update via the exe file, and it seems to have broken my exe and launcher, as everytime I try and update the game, it never changes anything. Locked out of the game due to not being 1.2.5 though.

I'm gonna hop on the controversy bandwagon. Was there really any need to change the launcher?

I hate the new launcher, as others have said its SO DAMN SLOW opening multiple accounts. On my Dual core system which is running XP and I only use for Eve, The launcher doesn't shut down properly. I have to alt+ctrl+del to get into the windows task manager to find it under Processes and close it.
If I don't I cant launch it again to update skills on other characters, and it also slows the system if I leave it running.

BTW can you please add a "Are you really really sure you want to play Eve", because having to click play after I have put in my user name and password to play Eve is damn annoying.
