There are other problems too, when u got disconnect and it shows the two buttons - restart and quit, the restart button just closed the game and not restarting it ... WTF is this s**t ...

I don't mind the change BUT I don't see why we needed to remove the login screen itself.

When you log in on the launcher it should take you to the original animated login screen with a simple "play" button or "press any key to continue" message. That way we can either enjoy the screen or skip it.

Will I play other CCP games? No! One horrible product is enough.

Not really one for complaining too much, but gotta admit, I do miss the animated log in screen, while it doesn't affect my gameplay, it does seem to make the experience of logging in a tad ermmmm "sterile" yeah think that's the adjective I'll go with.

Late EmpAge (when I putzed around with my first trial accounts), Quantum Rise (when I "actually" started), followed by Apocrypha, then...I guess Dominion, irrespective of the flaws of that expansion itself.

Since i really started with Retribution it should be Retris login screen :/
I liked th wow(!) effect this login screen had. It just looked so awesome. And now, this wow factor whenever i start the game is gone :(

It lost the feeling of: "And now you are going to enter the biggest mmo universe you have ever seen, right after this space station and those asteroids, just one simple login step away".

its also important for new players, it's the first thing they see about the game, when i first started the game and did see the login screen I felt - yes this is great... now they just hop into the game, I think they should bring it back

I agree. I started during Apocrypha and have played at least for a bit during every new expansion since. I remember every login screen and every background theme associated with them fondly. The amount of atmosphere they added is clearly undervalued by CCP.

The login screen really helps set the mood, especially for first time players. I started playing during Incarna (and hey look, I'm still here), and I really still miss that particular screen to this day. (Retribution comes second place). The mysterious, moody music; the visuals (RIP Quad Light Beam Sacrilege); I would actually have EVE's login screen running sometimes even when I wasn't playing.

Everything is first impressions. When the first thing you experience is the login screen, your first impression is "oh wow this looks amaaazzinnnggg." When the first thing you see in the launcher, followed by the login screen, it's still "oh wow this looks beautiful." Perhaps not quite as powerful, but you accept it because it's the norm these days, much like credits playing over the top of the first 5 minutes of a movie.

When the first thing you see is the launcher, followed by UI, followed by character stuff, followed by more UI, and then you're suddenly dropped into the game? It's a disjointed experience that leaves you wondering what you just logged into.

CCP your launcher sux.... i didnt understand the meaning of the first launcher, and this one is even more crapier, spend some more time on other important things then screwing with useless crap nobody needs
