EVEMon and EFT can't fetch my API key

Well I think the title says it all...
EVEMon is giving me the following error:
EVEMon 1.8.1.4016 API Error:

An error occurred while querying the character sheet.
HTTP error: The web server at api.eveonline.com returned an error. The full response returned by the web server was: Service Unavailable


There was no associated XML document.


EFT this one:
EVE API server have responded in unexpected format:
the rest is in HTML....

even if I create a new API it doesn't work

anyone know how to fix?

Hey,

my last login was back 2011.

So i reactivated my accounts a few hours ago.
Downloaded EVEMon from Battleclinic.


If i enter my full API key it tells me that it is expired.
And if i try a custom one (just created) it tells me that i provided the wrong data.

Tryed it before the reactivation, directly after and 2 hours after that again.


Whats wrong?

You probably know by now, but it takes a while for the key to become active sometimes.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

same problem here with evemon:

The Key is 1 week old, so it should be included in the ccp api. (Evemon is either allowes to pass my firewall.)

I started having this issue a day or so ago, I am also unable to get the account management login page to display in any browser. Didnt work at home, work, or even my phone.

I switched over from Legacy Key to the new Customizable API and it works fine in Evemon but I can't get it to work in EFT...
I am using EFT 2.13.3. Should I use a newer versien maybe?

cant seem to get eft or evemon to load up my api key. I tried getting new key and waited half a day for the server to upload it and yet still doesn't work. any suggestions?

SOLVED

As pointed out here. When cutting and pasting the key for some reason a space is added to the front which is why it isn't working for EVEMon etc.

Nope! I wish it was that simple but no such luck. I even typed the the api key and the conformation pass manually several times and it still did not work.

This is driving me crazy!! :(

Quick question (kinda new to EFT), do your skills automatically get updated on EFT when training is complete?

No - you have to manually refresh.

Having same problems.... Account management and API's gone screwy for me. And CCP won't reply to any of my petitions or forum posts. lovely...
