Good afternoon Eve players of the world,

I'm not here to moan as i can clearly see by the abundance of posts there is an issue with the launcher that is preventing my client from updating.

I've seen that running the repair tool will cause my client to update automatically and then should be able to start manually by the EXE file in my directory. However the problem I'm having with my repair tool is it errors out, Ive now updated it via the link on the wiki and the repair tool wont start. Have tried rebooting , launching in safe mode and running in administrative mode.

I have a limited time to play each day, and whilst i understand the chances of getting up and running this evening is slim, id like to get it running for the rest of the week.

Your assistance would be appreciated.
Kindest regards,

The repair tool tries to reach a server that's not responding right now (URL: http://client.eveonline.com/patches/repair_info.txt).

Just wait a bit, try again tomorrow for example. It's not only you with that problem, everyone who didn't patch in time won't be able to use any of the existing "workarounds" for now.

Not true. I didn't patch anything, and the repair error'd out for me as well. I read some other thread and found that I could manually replace the Launcher from here:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_539169.exe

I deleted my root/Eve/Launcher folder and ran the EXE from the native Eve directory. I ran the launcher and it validated/updated my client and allowed me to login.

I hope this works for you.

Doesnt work for me. Launcher still not updating and saying offline mode. Workaround with starting /bin/exefile.exe says 'incompatible (protocol)'. Repair tool doesnt work either. im depressed :(

btw, whats the version of the current repair tool? im using 3.52 and im not sure if its the newest.

First thing I tried was the repair tool. I had to update it manually here:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/client_repair/352/repair.exe

I ran that and after about 10 minutes it booted up and failed.
EDIT: Make sure to run the repairer from within your Eve directory, replacing any other versions you have.

I then downloaded the Launcher manually from:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_539169.exe

Deleted my /Eve/Launcher folder and the Launcher shortcut, ran that Exe and had success. It took me about 30 minutes of digging around to get that far, so hope this helps someone.
