So I assume I'm not the only one with the new launcher not connecting me onto EVE

Im having this problem too and i have had it before.
I know you are trying to fix the problem but still, if there is a problem - make a statement.

What is the windows Work around?

i cant get it to work just says

"No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher."

Windows workaround is to launch eve from the .exe file itself inside the eve folder.

This should bypass the eve launcher and has worked for fellow corp mates.

PROBLEM SOLVED <----

I scanned the forum and i saw this: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1368900

I downloaded it, put it in my eve folder. I ran it a couple of times and it crashed, but then it worked. I am now online!

I gave the repair tool a shot, but after quite a few (patient) attempts all it did was lock up. I suppose CCP's servers are starting to melt at this point, given how long this problem is persisting.

Yep agreed - I think its a server issue, not an issue with the repair tool.


I've been force closing it and reopening for 10 minutes BUT it finally started!


Keep restarting the repair tool guys

YES IT WORKED

FULL Fix instructions:


1. Download repair tool here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1368900

2. Keep trying to open it (it will crash/hang repeatedly)

3. Once open select the eve file in your applications folder.

4. Run updated (it will patch the game)

5. Open eve - it will say "no internet connection to content servers"

6. Click "start eve"

7. Fly safe

Yep it took 10 minutes of "force close" and reopening the repair tool to get it working

The server issues should have been resolved by now. Please let us know of any other potential issues you might run into.

No, the Mac launcher did not change. We were having server troubles yesterday that caused problems with all the versions of the launcher which is why the Mac Launcher wasn't working properly even though it hadn't changed.

PS, bypassing launcher on the Mac:

1) Right click EVE, Show Package Contents.
2) Contents/Resources/EVE Online
3) That's it, you've now bypassed the launcher. You can even drag that application onto your dock short term if you want, but I would suggest still using the Launcher long term. It's there for a reason after all.

I don't seem to get the new launcher.

I had it download when booted into Windows 8 in Bootcamp but it doesn't seem to download for Mac OS X.
