Anyone got the new launcher update? (cannot connect)

I'm guessing by what you described is CCP is installing the new launcher that you described as the latter of the two. That launcher has been on sisi for a little while.

Experiencing the same thing. At first, launcher froze and then tried to launch the game which resulted in Incompatible version on the login screen. Then the launcher failed to load because I have "no connection". I then proceeded to freak out and rush to general discussion to whine about it.

Then I read.

Then I tried again, and the launcher decided to update itself. At this point I thought, wow it's going to work. Nope. The launcher is in offline mode.

Welp. Time to play Black Ops.

***ATTENTION*** -- TEMPORARY FIX

Repair and play.

1) C:\CCP\EVE\repair.exe

1a) If the repairer fails - re-run it until it completes.

2) C:\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe

The game should load and let you connect without issue..

DO NOT under any circumstances re-run the patcher or this will break and you will have to do it over again.

Note - This took me about 5 minutes for the repairer to run.

I'm in a constant loop.

When I start the Launcher - Offline Mode
If I use the .exe file I have the log in screen saying that needs an update.
When the update if done, it will restart itself, using launcher, which will auto-update it self bringing me back to the offline screen.

If I start the .exe file again the whole process will go all over again.

Doing this triggered a new update cycle, which ended in the launcher being relaunched, which advised that I restart it...

it was also too much trouble to keep the cached usernames
