I bet CCP are going to kick themselves about the new Xbox announcement.

Why did they not wait for all us Xbox players with DUST 514?

Microsoft would never allow CCP to give free expansions for Dust, we all know that. They'd want to microtransaction every damn thing and add in pop-up messages when you die:

"Oh you died, what a shame...pay us 500 microsoft points right now and you can respawn directly behind the person who killed you with 10 seconds of invulnerability and increased damage!"

You know they'd do it.

CCP has stated that they intent to keep Dust 514 alive and evolving along with each new console generation that is coming out or at least they did when they first showed it off at a fan fest not to long ago.

Microsoft doesn't let devs connect to outside servers they make you use their servers and if you want to do an update for a game it cost about $40k to do it.

I seem to remember something being said somewhere about it being as simple as pressing compile for ps4 as supposed to compile for ps3, could be wrong though

If Incarna had even a fraction of the game play that DUST has I don't think anyone would have complained.

(Well, this being EvE, of course some would have... but they would have been given a firm STFU from the majority of the community)

I've wanted to have interest, but then I remember how much I play my xbox360 (halo once a week with friends, sometimes), and really can't justify spending any money on the next gen.

Nope.

Anyway, I'm still on the fence concerning the next batch of consoles. They'll have to have a extremely tempting couple of games available before I even consider getting one.

same, i was repainting my room the other month and i had to unplug my xbox that i hadn't turned on in like 6 months, it had a solid inch of dust on it.

I play Forza 4 once a week ... maybe ... and that's about it. Haven't payed for xbox live in a full year and don't miss it.

Not really excited for the PS4 or the XboxOne.
