Who said anything about diverting? The guy said "it's stupid to use BS weapons on anything but BSs". The statement is in and of itself dumb when the game makers have given us tools to allow us to use big weapons to kill small ships. whether you kill them 1st, last or inbetween doesn't matter, his (nonsensical) and overly general statement suggests that even in a situation where theres nothing else to shoot, he still wouldn't shoot cruise missiles at small ships.

Well, that's how he likes to play, to each his own no matter how dumb. i simply pointed out that you can do that kind of nonsense in the easymode pve play that's called "High Sec missions". Elsewhere you use what you got to get the job done and GTFO, but that even IN high sec missions, not using the tools you could to make things go faster is quite dumb.

I rally really must remember to not shoot small ships I've double webbed with my Vindicator in a high sec mission or incursions, because those blasters are BS only weapons according to the brilliant Lugalzagezi666. Once, i even shoot a frig with 1400s on mach, I should feel ashamed, i know.

Because where pimped, max skilled, implanted, future cnr with at least 2 targetpainters and 3 t2 rigs needs 2 precision volleys (roughly 16k raw damage, around 8s rof) - real nightmare uses just 1 of its 4 guns (around 6,5s rof) or vargur 2 of its 4 guns (around 3s rof).

So please mr hardcore 0.0 carebear, learn to read, dont put your words into my mouth and try to get at least some basic understanding of game mechanics.

But according to what you showed here I guess even with your arty mach you happily used all 7 guns grouped to shoot the poor frig wasting good 7-8k alpha.Lol

Yep wasted that alpha rather than let the frigs close in and then I'd have to chew at them with drones for a lot longer, which would have been dumb.

You seem to be hung up on the idea of wasted damage. It's not wasted if it kills you target faster than drones would have, allowing you to use both guns and drones elsewhere. The dumb part about what you said was the universality of it. if' you'd said "many times it's dumb to shoot BS sized weapons at anything other than a BS", you'd have been correct and gotten no argument from any of us. Saying something is ALWAYS something is...well..Almost always wrong lol.

As I've said repeatedly, to each his own. you're doing (and saying) it wrong and a few of us have pointed that out, but feel free to happily fail in whatever manner you prefer lol. The rest of us will keep TPing stuff and killing it.

Overkill or mitigated damage stays wasted. Period. That you cannot understand it, is your personal issue.

I feel like 5 years ago when everyone on the forums spammed "first you must kill every frigate, no1 priority, they are dangerous, kill them!!" in every thread created by new player asking for advice. I guess you are still in that "yaar, everything on frigates, they must diaf" noob state - unable to perceive, while this is viable tactics to someone with low skills, t1 drones and no experience, it noticeably reduces your isk/h.
But feel free, you and 1 other that runs in pirate enviroment, spam every frigate in sight with cruise missiles, while "leaving battleships for later."Lol

Btw where is the apology from you for putting words I never said into my mouth? Instead of that you are implying again I was talking about bs weapons and not just cruise missiles...Sad

Go back to your hardcore 0.0 carebearing where pirates try to probe your cnr only when you have your drones out and where wasting 8k cruise volleys on frigates instead of letting drones kill them saves time.
