Whats with all new Caldari ships these days being essentially rectangles? When I was your age, the inspiration for each Caldari ship was origami.

So the Caldari get the most flexible one and the Gallente probably not even a dronebay?

Remove the damn turret slots and leave hybrids to Gallente!

Flexible means it's going to suck at doing one thing well ^^ I bet the Talos will kick it's ass if they both fit blasters.

Edit: The Naga looks damn good though

Nice video CCP Guard :)

Other than that, I must say I like the ship and look forward to flying it!

Time to get those T2 Torps trained up!

Ever shot a cruise missile from long range?

If so, it probably hasn't hit the target yet. Good luck with that fight!

Ever shot someone with heavy missiles in a Drake from 20-50KM?

If so you probably are not engaging at ridiculous ranges. It is the extra Damage of Cruise Missiles not the Range that will make them fit in with Drake Gangs. They move the same speed therefor can engage from the same range as Drakes.

Torpedoes are to slow and inaccurate for fleet work.

and cruise missiles are fairly inaccurate as well, and do about 10% more damage than heavies. Why don't you just use rails, they will be just as powerful (if not more powerful) as cruises after the buff and will hit instantly.

There is always a better option than cruises. Other than in missions of course.

So pleased this is the one picked from the Caldari entries, it was by far the strongest.

I really look forward to flying it, but also I hope CCP Tallest, won't forget the Rokh will be even less useful now if it doesn't get some buff love as part of the Hybrid tweaks.

With 8 Launchers witha Dmg Bonus and 2 BCU's you will get 650 Damage or flat 60% Damage increase over Heavy Missiles.

More then Rails, Cruise Missiles are more accurate, can select Dmg Types, the fleet is set up to support missiles, they can hit farther if need be w/o loss of dmg and the 50 Painters the fleet will be carrying will be more beneficial to Cruise Missiles.

Rails on the other hand are looking to stay in the Dumpster after the expansion hits.

So yeah, Cruise Missiles.

It might be of further interest to some that the word "naga" is a verb that means to "gnaw" in the Icelandic language...and I'm sure the Naga will gnaw on a few hulls in the near future Big smile

Naga in Malay is simply means "Dragon". Big smile

Good god it is beautiful! I can't wait to get my hands on one! I stated in another thread that I seriously doubted this one would be the one...I was wrong. Never been so happy to be wrong.

1. It looks really good
2. I just looked at it on SiSi:
+ fast as hell
- hybrid system sucks, because u just get the damn range Bonus.
- hasnt got the cap bonus for Hybrids the Talos got, so u're pretty damn fast out of cap to fire your Rails
- Torps without a TP Bonus suck

--> this thingys only good thing, is that u can watch it spinning in your hangar

It seems it was good i cross trained, but i should have gone for the Minnies, i fear the Talos will be outran by the other 2 Tier 3 BCs

I hope CCP is going to make a habit of this, the game needs a lot more new ships, even if they just have the specs of already existing ships, I just want more hangar candy =P

Hybrids are not reserved for the Gallente - The hybrids were written into the background of Caldari from the beginning even if most of the Caldari hybrid ships suffer from less attractive range bonus and having the missile boats as their most effecient assets...

Back when I first selected Caldari I chose them for the reason of looking pleasingly human and having railgun ships in their description... Luckily CCP designed the Rokh just when my skilltraining was ready for it.

Unfortunately the Caldari Railgun ships lack tank (in form of medslots usually) to make up for the weak railguns and flawed "sniping mechanism" that got 100% obsolete when probing became almost instant... The Gallente at least had damage bonuses to annihilate anything up close where they could pin an enemy or just stayt out of engaging.

Well the naga is something which I am particularly excited about, putting out more damage than a torp raven, enabling it to smash structures and capital ships, while having an okish tank in comparison to the paper thin nature of the talos (33k ehp). Not to mention it will be interesting for suicide ganking.

According to the numbers and the pyfa build leaked you can get a rokh to put out similar dps and tank to an arty maelstrom so there could be a resurgence of rail ships in the future.

Keep up the good work ccp, keep up telling us what you are up to in your volcanic lair, the constant communication and daily dev blogs are a sign that the direction of the game is improving.
