SiSi Mirrors and Market Intelligence Advantages

The last SiSi mirror was created on March 20th. Since that time approximately 800 people have asked to be reactivated, all to no avail. I understand CCP employees are busy people, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Access to SiSi translates directly into market intelligence and the opportunity to make lots of ISK on well-informed speculation. Access to SiSi also translates directly into learning how best to use new features and into obtaining expertise in advance of release. Everyone who was able to get access prior to March 20th has a distinct advantage over everyone else who hasn't. It's bad enough that Chaos test server info is being used to make fortunes, but this compounds the problem.

If you're going to provide access to some, you should provide it to all or none. How hard can creating a mirror be? And however hard it is, surely you can develop a more efficient and effective process for doing it.

Given that the 20th March is 2 months in the past then any market intelligence available through access to SiSi is 2 months out of date, if people are using that information as the basis for speculation for the upcoming expansion I think that they will be disappointed when Odyssey goes live. Those asking for reactivation on SiSi will get it when CCP do the next mirror, which is something that they do as required, not when people demand it, I dare say it's no small task either. It's called the test server for a reason, they test stuff on it and then invite us to go out of our way to try and break whatever they're testing.

The Chaos server dump is publicly available, anyone can use it for market speculation analysis, even you.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Presuming that CCP Habakuk isn't lying (and, nothing personal, I'd trust him over you OP), the last reactivation was done on the 8th of May. Link

Why don't you just find a friend of yours who has access and ask him to test certain things?

you dont use the sisi market to speculate, you use the changes to attributes of items to speculate. sisi market is useless for gathering information.

But yeah the server dump =).

OP, you or anyone else don't need an EVE account at all to make client datadumps from Sisi of from any other client.
So the rest of your post is just meaningless fantasy weaved from various rumors, or just naive try to make reactivation faster (it's stupid btw because wrong forum).

Apologies, that was bad phrasing on my part, the market is useless, by market intelligence I meant exactly what you so succinctly posted.

It's actually more recent than that. I requested activation on the 9th, and have been able to access SiSi about a week now.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Basic market speculation can be achieved by keeping a sharp eye on the Testing forum and devblogs. If you're quick, that alone should be enough to identify ships/modules that'll get the boost.

I activated on Thursday, the 16th, just before the mass test - but it seems like I missed to post in the forum thread. There will be no further reactivation before the next mirror, which is planned to happen within the next few days.
